Right now the Mayor of Seattle is in an epic battle to keep oil drilling out of one of the world's last untouched places. Join the global call rallying behind him to say "Shell No!" and keep the pristine Arctic free from polluters.

A satirical look at our elections from the eyes of an American.
How did the general election look to observers from abroad? PJ O'Rourke gives his impressions.

Lovely surroundings in the old dairy building, friendly staff and quick service.

Great budget hotel in the heart of Kamikochi. The staff are very polite, our room is clean and the buffet style food is great. Recommend.

One of the few roof terraces in central London. Laid back and friendly.

First impressions are very good, the staff are attentive but not overwhelming and the décor and mood are very nice. Our only issue was we asked for no onions for one of our party and both dishes came with onions! But the manager came and apologised and we were offered the meal again as well as a discount.

First impressions of this hotel are great, it is set in a lovely valley not far from Himeji castle surrounded by lush forest. The staff are, as is normal in Japan, very polite and helpful however the rooms, although clean, are in need of repair. There is no WiFi outside of the lobby which if you are traveling is very inconvenient. I was also with some Japanese people who said that mobile coverage is very poor. The food is mediocre and the place seems like it missing some character. Overall too expensive for what is on offer, avoid.

Nice little cafe overlooking the Grand Canal with a decked area outside for when the weather is nice. I was served with a smile and the coffee was good. I've been told it's a little expensive but imo it's pretty standard if you're used to capital city prices!
