Interesting that you just worked on this. Me too. I have a PHP-based web site and needed to push form data into ClickDimensions. Got it working fairly well using the Form Capture feature and PHP code.
One thing that bothers me is that Form Captures won't work if there is no cookie value - e.g. visitor does not allow cookies. I asked ClickDimensions what to do about this, and their answer is that it is essentially my problem to solve, not theirs.
I was thinking about coming up with a dummy value in my code for the scenario where the cookie is not set in the visitor's browser. It seems like this cookie is primarily used for Page View tracking, which I could accept less than the most accurate results if this ever happens. What I don't want to ever happen is to have a visitor submit a form on my website and then we never get the form data.
You have any ideas on this?
I then have a workflow that fires that creates the new lead amongst other things.
The product has been on the market since 2007 and has a small, but loyal group of customers. We want to increase the adoption so that more people get value out of it, and are providing some of its core functionality now for completely free.
