Homebrew > MacPorts all day.
Peeved that MacPorts won't build on my Mac, which makes no sense at all since any of that stuff I wanted to run, I would run in a Linux VM.
Homebrew wouldn't build either. Fortunately the people who do the Dia packages build a .dmg on a Mac that DOES have MacPorts, so now I have Dia with a useful mouse cursor, which is better than you get running Ubuntu in Parallels. And now I probably won't care about this issue for another five years.
Got homebrew working, to the extent it works. Mildly pissed that it doesn't include vim.
