Made this sign a few valentines ago for my bride. I decided to add something to it so I made a cedar frame for it (her favorite wood).

This chip carving I designed in Pattern Wizard. I have a few different stains on this one and acrylic satin finish.

I finally finished the frame for this chip carving. I made the frame from 1 1/2" thick cedar with krylon acrylic spray finish. The back board is figured aspen with walnut Danish oil and semi-gloss lacquer. Chip carvings are six inch circles with Danish oil and lacquer finish.

Finally finished this piece. I chip carved each item in the center and mounted them to the back board. Then made the red oak frame to wrap the piece in. The chip carvings have satin finish and the back board & frame have semi-gloss finish on them.

Finished three recipe boxes for a customer. The cross and letters are chip carved, wood is southern basswood, and I used Danish oil with a satin finish.
