The final shot is where you look up at the sky after going over the handle bars and having the wind knocked out of you.

The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. The first brownstone cathedral was built in 1854 and named the Cathedral of Saint John and Saint Finbar. It burned down in a great fire in December 1861. After being rebuilt it was renamed the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. It is actually built on the foundation of the previous cathedral.

The hotel is great. The rooms are clean and neat. My largest complaint is the worthless Internet access. The free service is capped at a 1mbps steam that will cut you off if you stream for more than a few seconds. I then paid for the "premium" ($5.00) service and that yielded me a 3 mbps stream that did make Netflix possible but it constantly had to buffer and would stop. The three HDMI ports on the LG TV had been disabled as well. So I could not plug in my laptop and watch a locally stored media as well. I have a feeling this is all done in order to push hotel guests to use the movies on demand feature from the hotel, rather than use sources like Netflix, etc. The staff was wonderful. Very nice and were able to resolve any problems that came up.

I want to call out Affordabike here. My buddies and I had planed to do a 60 mile ride around Lake Moultrie. We have been looking forward to this ride all week and it was going to be Danny's first trip around the lake. We got all our gear set out the night before, cleaned our kits, and froze the water bottles. Sunday morning came and it was time to hit the trail! We were up at 7 AM excited to spend a day gravel grinding, when disaster stuck. On inspection of the bikes as we were loading them up, Danny had a bad link. There was no way we could take on a 60 mile trek with a known bad chain. We were frantic. We called our other buddies to tell them about the possible problem and delay. They understood and just said let them know. We started calling everywhere. Walmart, Dicks, Kmart, if we could think of it call. But it was Sunday morning and there was no help. As we stood in the kitchen as a last ditch effort before we called the trip, I posted to this group looking for any help I could find. Daniel from Affordabike sent me a message with in 10 mins saying that if we could meet him at the shop then he would take time and had a chain for us. Danny and I were ecstatic. This would save the whole trip! So 9 AM we loaded up and rushed to Affordabike to pick up the chain. Its worth pointing out that the Amazon, big box store, or major retailer didn't save us. When it came down to the wire, a local bike shop that cares about the local riders went the extra mile, so that we could go 60!

Good staff. They worked with me every step of the way both with the rehabilitation of my hand and the rehabilitation to my wallet on cost. My therapist Anne was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. I would recommend their services to my friends.

Easily the best bike shop in town. The staff is on point and they really care about the riders. Nothing but good experiences with Ride Bikes.

I have had the joy of working with Jeff and Brad on my bike. After getting into a pinch and needing some last minute help Brad worked with me to do everything to get my bike back on the trail. I have also spoken with Jeff at length about a long term goal for cycling and how to best build up my bikes. The amount of knowledge from each one of these young men is vast. I look forward to a lot more work with them. And with the store right on the green way its easy to drop by on my bike rides.
