Introduction

As a social media writer, I help position and promote a client’s products and services when writing blogs, websites, promotional materials and postings on Google+, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media.

Social media marketing

I am experienced in blogging and re-purposing content to exponentially reach targets through viral marketing.

A blog can serve as the centerpiece of a company’s social media strategy. It is “home base,” providing more expansive coverage of a company’s products, services and points of view on important topics. This blog content can be leveraged by populating social media bookmarking sites such as Digg, Reddit and StumbleUpon, and social media communities including LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook.

I believe a company should also engage its own employees, who are already on social media, as brand advocates for the company.

Blogging and other article writing

I have written and published several hundred posts on Write Speak Sell and written guest blogs for BloombergBusinessweek, Denise Wakeman’s “Build a Better Blog,” American Express OPEN Forum, Firepole Marketing, and WPBeginner, among others. I utilize best practices, including search engine optimization and monitoring my traffic with Google Analytics. I currently write blogs for two companies.

Kearney, Latham & Watkins, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Sabre, Inc., American Heart Association, Aging in America, Center for the New American Workforce at Queens College, Women’s Venture Fund and the U.S. Mint.

Previously, I was a vice president at Cohn & Wolfe, and, as a senior director with Citigate Communications, a global marketing communications firm, I managed the U.S. and U.K. public relations programs for Deloitte Consulting. Also, I served as senior vice president of marketing at the Bowery Savings Bank, and senior vice president-corporate communications at Marsh & McLennan, the global insurance brokers.
