Tammy, what a great post! My boys ask that same question. They aren't in high school band yet, but it's still hard to spot them sometimes. :) I'm so thankful  that God can always find us. Just as you know what to look for to find your daughter, He knows exactly how to find us. What a great reminder of how much He loves us!

Visiting from FMF. :)

You've got me thinking about Fair Trade. I've bought some gifts from Fair Trade stores, but not many. I think I'll look into it a little more purposefully. Thanks for sharing!

I'm visiting you from Five Minute Friday. :)

Gloria, there is something lost when people communicate via a screen. I love face-to-face visiting as well. I loved reading your memories from girlhood. You lived out great aspects of visiting!

I'm your FMF neighbor. :)

Wow, what a beautiful story of redemption God has woven through your life, Gloria! It's wonderful to hear how He's used you to share His truth with others. May He continue to use you!

Stopping by as your FMF neighbor. :)

Melinda, I loved your take on SEND. Just beautiful. And I'm guessing . . . was that a Matthew West song? If so, I love it. And, I loved that passage in Isaiah. Well done!

Karen, what a beautiful post! I love your truths here. God could fix us with a word, yet He doesn't. I'm learning as I walk the long road that He wants me to walk in dependence upon Him. Hard, but true. And peace-giving when I yield to His way.

I LOVED this line: The long road is the way. The long struggle is the how.

Thanks for sharing your wisdom.

What a beautiful post and a timely reminder of God's care for His children. And it's not just to make our lives easier. :) I so appreciate your words about God's bigger plans for our lives. I get caught up in the mundane of my own life, sometimes feeling like I'm the only one who really cares about what's happening. God cares so much more than I do! Thanks for these beautiful thoughts my friend!

Karen, this is absolutely beautiful. Filled with hope, strengthening. There are times when this race feels never-ending, and that I'm locked into my lane, no finish line in sight. But we all have that finish line. Thanks to Jesus, once we cross it, we won't be spliced but welcomed with a hug (my view of it :) ).

Writing a poem with this depth in five minutes . . . you are truly a gifted writer!

Karen, what a beautiful post. I hadn't really considered all the work that makes a bloom, and how little the bloom does. You're right. We get to be the blooms in Jesus' garden, the ones He' cherishes, enjoys and loves. Your word picture really spoke to me.
