"Trusting your gut is trusting the collection of all your subconscious experiences."  - Sometimes you have to trust something outside of the all the facts.
Trusting your gut is age-old advice for a reason: Your instincts are usually right. Take these steps to stop second-guessing yourself.

Hilary Clinton continues her digital campaign.  Will this endorsement help? #ImWithHer #SCS2846
In a video posted Monday to Lena Dunham's public Facebook page, Amy Poehler, Uzo Aduba and Katy Perry also favor Clinton's presidential bid.

I've been doing some research on how people make decisions.  And emotions play a large role.  People make decisions emotionally, and justify their decisions intellectually. When you think about this in a marketing sense you don't sell you brand / product with facts and stats you got to have a story first.

It's all about video content #SCS2846

According to Cisco Forecast, video will represent 69% of all consumer-based Internet traffic by 2017; this is expected to rise to 80% by 2019.
Deciding which platforms to invest your video marketing has been yet another hurdle to overcome with the rising competition between Facebook and YouTube. The folks at Wolfgang Digital share the findings of their study to determine where your videos will get the most bang for your buck.

I've posted this article before on hashtag.  I just re-read it, and the information still applies and it supplied me with some great reminders. #HashtagBestPractices  #SCS2846
You should be using hashtags on social media. But how many, where and on what networks? Here's the data you need to max out their potential.

This is a great read analyzing the growth of Facebook in comparison to Twitter.  Personally, I love using Twitter and look forward to the changes that will happen over the course of this year.  Both platforms are great but definitely offer different experiences.   #SCS2846   #PlatformEvolution
Twitter uncovered the most powerful format in mobile back in 2006: the feed. But, in 2009, Facebook went algorithmic while Twitter remained to hard to use. Now, it's almost certainly too late.

One of the best articles I've read in awhile.  All the points made are great.  But #1 & #2 really resonated with me.

#1 - "It is not outside forces that make us feel something, it is what we tell ourselves that create our feelings. A blank document, canvas, or unmarked to-do list is not inherently stressful—it’s your thoughts that are stressing you out."

#2 - Find someone you respect, and use them to stay honest - SO IMPORTANT!
Act on your principles, not your moods. How the ancient philosophy of Stoicism can help us smash creative blocks and do our best work.
