Since Whitney passed I've been feeling drawn to appreciate some of our legends while they're still here..this early demo of Aretha doing "I Never Loved A Man.." is amazing, just the drums accompanying young Aretha's voice and piano.

If I'm not mistaken this was the first song Aretha did in her very first session at Muscle Shoals studio, imagine how all the session players there felt when this young woman they'd never seen before sat down at the piano and let loose with this voice!

Good. I like that you are appreciating the legends that are still here. (don't get me wrong, Whitney was good) but, i just think that it sucks that people only admire people when they pass away. I still think that Whitney was good but she had a problem with drugs and alcohol. We weren't talking about her everyday and all that until she passed. I just want to conclude in saying, Whitney, Rest in Peace,.

hey +Jay Smooth, i know it's a little buried in the mix but david hood is on this record, too. he even pulls out the bow for the ending.
