Grace Redux
Grace is fluid, a dance of mercy, a song of favor…a gift of redemption. “And all are justified freely by his grace
through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans

The Greek word for redemption describes the price paid for a prisoner of war…the price is paid and they are set free. In reality… we are all former POWs. Grace is liberating, grace ransoms us. Grace is how God greets us and meets us…it releases worship in us. Freedom is God's breath of Grace in ...

I want to tell you a story about an insight that God gave me into John 14:1-4, the passage where Jesus speaks of going to prepare a place for us. This is the story of something that happened to me ...

Give Away
This past Sunday was one of those moments when something magical and
mysterious happens. The Christmas season makes it happen I believe, the hearts
of people encounter the Heart of God and wonder covers us all. The small chapel
was filled, a nice treat f...

We opened the doors and they came, nearly 120 of them, entering the brightly lit venue in the small town of Staatsburg, NY. They came for a feast, they came out of curiosity and they came for company, as one lone elderly woman said to my son Isaac as he held the door open for her…

In the ancient world, fasting was more than not eating. In a world where meal preparation took up a vast majority of one's day, fasting freed one from having to prepare food, allowing time for prayer, family, and catching up. The followers of Jesus in the gospels did not fast.

Just as it is shepherding, speaking and the million other things involved in the role, pastoring is art. This art is looked at in four distinct topics here.

He’s a self taught online whiz. With no formal training in coding or broadcasting, Dr. Vibe has become Canada’s Prince of Podcast. He dominates the Internet when it comes to hosting intelligent, entertaining conversations on race and gender. His experience as a TV reporter injects an extra dose of thoughtfulness into all of his interviews, setting him apart from the average online broadcaster. He brings that same professionalism and insight to al...

A primary problem in our culture and in our churches isn’t that women aren’t submissive enough, but instead that they are far too submissive.

Introduction

I was born and raised in Poughkeepsie, New York, just about 80 miles north of the Big Apple. My family and I live in Hyde Park, New York, the former home of Franklin Roosevelt, but I didn't let that stop us from living there. Seriously, it's a real nice town, rich with history. My wife Christine and I have been happily married for 33 years and have seven (yes seven) children, 5 boys and two girls. I am passionate about my relationships, with God and my family, they are the fuel for my creativity and the drive to finish strong.
