On February 4, #Bloomberg broke the news about a deal between #Google and Twitter, allowing tweets to appear in Google’s search results as soon as they are posted.

Even when things are going great, you’ve got to remember extinction could be right around the corner.

Recently Google and Twitter announced that you will now be able to get tweets inside Google search results again.

That used to be case until 2011, and then their previous relationship lapsed. So for the last four years or so you cannot find tweets inside Google search results, at least not in real time. But that is changing, and it’s mutually beneficial.

Today’s +Sprout Social Shoutout for my friend +Adam Singer. Adam is the advocate for #Google Analytics. Super smart guy. Terrific blog called The Future Buzz and a must-follow in #socialmedia. Correction: Google WAS showing tweets in search, but not all, and yes, they weren't real time. 

Our massive study showed that over time about 60% of tweets get indexed currently, but most take several days or more.
