If you were a swimmer, this will resonate. Written by my former teammate, +Sarah Dohrmann, an essay On Swimming. The site is a publication of essays on sports. Fantastic writing. +Jackie Osborn +Michael Clark

Two things made me very happy today:

The summer is a great time for rest and relaxation. But it's also a great time for powering up and preparing for the new school year. So here is a challenge for your summer break... The Seven Day Power Up Challenge. Seven days, seven challenges, an hour each challenge. Doesn't sound so terrible in the long sunny stretch of summer, does it? So jump in and take charge of your learning...

Again, sad I'm going to miss it. Is there a link to contact details for South African teachers who are presenting? I'd like to start networking with them regarding GAFE application in schools.

+Patrick Reid Thanks for the appreciation.  It means a lot to hear it!  Now to figure out how to articulate something that takes what we've done to the next level.  Could the EDU user community successfully convince Google to fund a program that expands and strengthens the community of educator and student creators building free tools for EDU in their ecosystem?  Would they go for this?  How would this get pitched and to whom?
