Today was the annual round the island photographers race, where 15,000 photographers are chased around the Isle of Wight by a fleet of 1,500 yachts. I wasn't competing this year, but I watched the event over a bacon sandwich and a cup of tea at the captain's cabin in Colwell, before eventually heading over to Freshwater Bay and grabbing a few pics so I didn't feel completely left out. #raceforall #rtir #iow

I’ve donated some images to a charity calendar raising funds for the ‘Earl Mountbatten Hospice’ on the Isle of Wight. It’s a cause that means a lot to me and my family, the local hospice provided wonderful care and support for my dad during his final days earlier this year, and it’s a priceless resource during difficult times for many people on the island.

Following recent cuts they now have to rely on fundraising to provide for 2/3 of their annual budget.

The Calendar has 3 of my images (as illustrated here) as well as some great images from Island photographers Chris Boynton, Jamie Russell, Allan James Marsh Lrps and others, you can buy them online for just £5 from this eBay link.
