NASA Astronomy Picture of the Day

NASA has an ever-growing treasure trove of spectacular imagery of the universe coming out from various satellites and observatories. One of the cooler things they do is to publish a new sample photo each day on their APOD site. They keep an archive of previous daily photos too. It's a great resource. This one is the recent supermoon over Paris.

It's a beautiful picture, but watching it live...even more beautiful.

As are the others in the gallery. This one is particularly good, though, IMO - very paper-lanterny feel going on. =)
