Dear Target-protesting individual identifying as a male,

I would like to take a few minutes to address your behavior today.

The following conversation is coming from someone who was born male, identifies as male, and was formerly religious however holds no hostility towards those who still remain such.

Your behavior today was absolutely appalling.

The way that you handled yourself was offensive to myself as a former religious person and as a man.

You arrived to Target today to take a stand against their view of transgender restroom use. What you did instead was abuse my best friend who just happens to be a lesbian that worked for that store. A lesbian who was born female and identifies as female. A lesbian who I trust to take care of my daughter and protect her with nearly the same love that I myself would.

You let your ignorance and fear overrule whatever logic you may have actually possessed and redirected your hostility towards an individual rather than the company you had initially intended to.

In that moment, you lashed out at one of the most caring people I've ever met. You repeated phrases such as "I'm protecting people from you!" and "I'm warning people about you!" when asked to leave private property. You videoed every employee that came to you asking for you to peacefully go home. You refused to move until you were made to do so by the police.

You, individual who identifies as a male, are an embarrassment to the many good religious people I know. You are certainly not a man nor a gentleman as I was raised to be. If gender roles are to be as important as you apparently believe, you just completely mistreated a woman unprovoked.

I can't express how sickened I am at such absurd behavior.

Pokemon gameplay from someone who probably was promptly banned...
With the Pokemon GO beta expanding to Australia and New Zealand earlier this month, we were bound to see more of the mobile title. Well, the time has come, as one lucky Australian user has uploaded…

If you've somehow missed it, Play-Asia is selling a wireless controller adapter for the original NES.

I want to say "This is blasphemy!" but considering the distance to my TV and the inescapable awkwardness of dragging all the cabling into the middle of the living room with an incredibly mobile toddler is making me reconsider.

Actual link to product:

Price: $19.99 USD
Retro Receiver works with everything from custom retro controllers to DualShocks and Wii remotes.

Retro/Classic  -

This article brings up several of the reasons I loved the Dreamcast. To this day, it is still one of my favorite consoles.

As a fighting game fan, there was no other console that compared. Powerstone, the Marvel vs. Capcoms, several Street Fighters, Soul Calibur and many more MADE the system.

Phantasy Star Online ate weeks of my life as did Skies of Arcadia and the two Evolution RPGs.

Of course, there was Sonic but I hardly believe he was the system's shining star.

Even now, I feel odd posting this in the retro/classic category. It doesn't feel like that title fits.
I had consoles before it, and I have had consoles after it, but I will never love anything like I love my Dreamcast.

Poor Dreamcast. Personally, I loved the 32X add-on for the Sega Genesis.

I'm not normally into cosplay stuff but this Samus...
I’ve seen some good Samus cosplay in my time, but rarely have I ever seen someone actually nail the scale and dimensions of her power suit like Elearia has here.

Sony PS4  -

More rumors are hitting the news outlets about the PS4.5.

It seems that Sony is taking a page from Nintendo's book and releasing upgraded, current-gen hardware mid-cycle. Will the New 3DS PS4 be upgraded enough to justify the purchase?

Gimme an ergo layout and Trackman-style track ball and I'm there. (Pro tip: track balls are already lap-friendly)

The original THPS may very well have been my first introduction to skateboarding. By the time this happened (junior/senior in high school), my body had already been set in its ways and happily dashed my hopes of being a skating phenom.

Well, I was still one in game, anyway.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 is arguably the greatest action sports game of all time and a perfect sequel.

By far my two favorite skating styles were from Rodney Mullen and Eric Koston.

Arrived in the room and faced the worst stench emanating from the garbage disposal, the coffee maker produced dirty water rather than coffee and we could hear the steps, conversations and shower time of the visitors upstairs. The staff at the desk was nice though.

This was my first time to Lee Cafe. I tried something I've never had (Mongolian Beef) and was pleased to find it the best Chinese I've had in at least a year. Staff was not overbearing but made sure drinks were filled and that we were pleased with the meal. Check came promptly when meal was finished making it viable for work week dining. I will definitely be returning and will be bringing more folks with me.

Well, it is unfortunate that the time has finally come for me to make this review. Let me preface this review by saying that I have been a fairly regular customer for over 10 years including a few years that we visited a minimum of once a week. The food and beverages were a great value, the food was consistently delicious and the staff was great. I assure you that the review to follow is not based on a small sample size. Kitchen Staff/Food: The entirety of the current kitchen staff either suffers from lack of concern for the food leaving the window or is simply incapable of cooking food properly and consistently. I have recently started requesting my fries without seasoning because I could no longer take the mounds they deemed necessary. We have received medium wings (their lowest heat) that have brought me to tears. I had a burger only a few weeks ago that was overcooked and tasted like they had not cleaned the grill in days. The boneless wings and chicken tenders that my wife orders every trip have been delivered so hard we were unable to pierce them with the forks and the sauce is different most trips. The ticket instructions given to the kitchen are commonly ignored and food arrives with ingredients specifically noted to be removed. Wait Staff: The wait staff is one of the few bright points in an otherly dismal review. Most of them are friendly and try to help out in any way possible. There are still a couple that have no ability to get an order correct and I find it completely incredible that they can still find the section they are covering. It's sad that the owners have run away so many great staff. Environment: While I am more than a supporter of small hole-in-the-wall businesses, Chicken Shak is likely to be the most disgusting establishment I've ever encountered. The grease-laden carpets that tend to grasp the chair legs with a force that should create envy in the duct tape community have the benefit of the perpetually darkened room so the clientele is unable to see on what they walk. The restroom doors are nearly unlockable despite a myriad of cheap replacement hardware they've used over the years. The front sign lit on fire over a month ago and has yet to be replaced. Price: Throughout the years I have witnessed price hikes that, while I was not fond of, typically made sense. I began coming here for the reasonably priced food and beverages yet I can no longer state that this applies. The last menu change brought with it an increase of up to 20% on many items. I realize that the cost of food increases but I would challenge that this percentage is necessary. Since the quality of the food has not improved, I find it questionable that they put the price on par with other restaurants in the area such as Chili's, O'Charley's and Applebee's. Clientele: This may have been the final nail in the coffin for us. There have been many situations (mostly with the same patron) that have discouraged us from returning. We have been forced to tolerate bared rears only inches from our table while we were eating, screaming of insults to fans of other teams almost to the point of blows and even the yelling of the entire dictionary of profanity throughout the restaurant despite the presence of children. I realize that this is intended to be a sports bar but there should be no reason for someone to behave so poorly he is just shy of swinging from the ceiling fans, smacking patrons and urinating in the corner. I have seen people removed from the premises of other bars for much less. We have stated our concerns to the staff who were ultimately told to leave him alone by the owners and managers. In conclusion, we may very well give Chicken Shak another opportunity in the future to redeem itself but I assure you that it will not be for many months.
