With a substantial warm-up on the way next week, the odds of this severe weather season staying this quiet are going down.  We're at a near record minimum tornado count in 2014, and it's been 143 days since a "strong" (EF-3 or higher) tornado occurred.

How things may be changing around here within the next week:  www.whnt.com/weather/forecast/

Spammers are getting better...this one looks remotely legitimate...until you look at the reply-to address and have an understanding that no major company would actually send this e-mail.  Silly spammers.

They could have just said "give me your credit card number, or even better, mail us a box of cash."

Nice note from someone who refuses to read the forecast or watch TV.  In case you didn't know...we've been forecasting a freeze for Tuesday night/Wednesday morning for over a week now.

Comment: How can your weather people continue to be so far off on your weather reporting.  Out of 5 weather stations they are reporting weather tonight below 30 degrees and you say it will be 41 degrees.  Tomorrow night you say it will be 30 degrees and every one else says it will be 38 to 41 degrees. I can understand a mistake every now and then but you guy's miss the target so much I rarely even check your station except to get a good laugh. I assume you get your info from the Gov weather station, so how on earth can you be so far off?

Looks like you need a new weather man.

You should have told him that you do not use the government's forecasts and only use the Old Farmers Almanac for all weather predictions.

Hard to tell by the view just how cold it was today!  Photos by Ramona Edwards near Gurley and at the Grant Scenic Overlook just as the clouds cleared this afternoon.  There are warmer days ahead: www.whnt.com/weather/forecast/

#Huntsville had a trace of snow this morning, we get record cold tonight, and temps stay below average through the rest of the week.  At least it warms up for Easter!  www.whnt.com/weather/forecast/

WHNT News 19 Chief Meteorologist
Introduction
I'm the Chief Meteorologist at WHNT News 19 in Huntsville, Alabama, and a huge Mississippi State fan.  I've got Facebook and Twitter accounts as well; follow me across the board!  I post a lot of weather information for the Tennessee Valley, but it's not going to be all weather, all the time.
Bragging rights
I outkicked my coverage when I married my wife Lacey in 2010. Our first child, Walt, was born in October 2011, and our little Sweet Surprise Shelby came to us in July 2013. I've got a beautiful family, and they mean more to me than anything else in the world!
