That is some ADVANCED tantrum work, there, esp. the full 360°. KUDOS to your progeny!! I am going to let mine study this in detail; their nightly freakouts have been getting a little stale.

it does appear as if they are bees themselves, buzzing around some larger beekeeper's mask, doesn't it?

Large and spacious hardware store in the old school sense. The staff is knowledgeable like Fragers of yore without the crowded piled aisles. The rooftop garden is a work in progress, but the space should prove incredible before long. Nice tool selection, garden section is adequate but slightly slim on choices, the upstairs has a little bit of everything else.

Two levels of everything that you want from a kohl's. Near many other options that make for a fun shopping threefer.

Machines are spendy and space is tight, but it is clean and convenient in a area lacking laundromat choices. Never seen a broken machine, but at popular times you better not have too much laundry else you will be washing in shifts. There are limited supplies for sale on site including snack vending, but across the street is a well stocked corner market if looking for a snack or other laundry supplies. It seems like the user base is young, white, new arrivals but not too social, if you want excitement with your laundry skip Slow Nickel and head to Capital Laundromat otherwise it gets the job done.

The food is good, I like spicy food including Nashville-style hot chicken, which this definitely not. Spicy, but in a different vein. The side are typically good, with the mushy peas being my favorite. The corn is good, but not elote good and everything else is fairly carb heavy so don't expect a lot of lite fare, for that you are better off going to sweetgreen down the block. Kids of all ages love the soda machine, with it nearly endless combinations of options. Families can do well with the sharing platters but you will likely have to order the spice level by the lowest common denominator, but at least the many spicy periperi bottle options make it more palatable if the parents who love spice are out with the spice averse kids or significant other. Lunch is busy, dinner not so much, also Nationals game bring the throngs.

Great community school with active engaging faculty and PTA. Most kids should walk/bike to school and many do, but drop off and pick up is a swarm of SUVs and station wagons. Call and take a tour if so inclined, and hope you live in bounds if you have kids wanting in. Head to Maury at the Market at Eastern Market for a chance to see the parents and staff in a social setting and help raise funds for the PTA.

For those beer drinkers who bemoan the popularity of the IPA to the exclusion of other worthwhile endevour, please note that Bluejacket has a plethora of options for you. From sours to wits, you can try a wide array of tasters and snifters without having to fully commit. The food is good but not great but that doesn't keep me from coming back regularly to eat lunch at the bar. Space is great and the upstairs is available for large groups but you are likely to have a $500 min, so bring your drinking buddies.

Our whole family loves the Argonaut, it has been our go to local watering hole for years. On weekends expect some crowds and hipsters but the distance from the Dome keeps most of the hill staffers at bay. Wednesday is kids-night and the manager is a significant supporter of hill schools and families. When the upstairs is not hosting trivia night, also on Wednesdays, it is a nice respite from the city with views of the hustle around the star burst.
