"Today, it is clear that these emerging societies, namely China and India, are on the rise. So too—thanks to economic and political reforms, technological and scientific progress, and the advent of the connected world—are other great and rich cultures from the Middle East to Africa."

Still not terrorists. "Each person arrested faces a federal felony charge of conspiracy to impede U.S. officers from 'discharging their official duties through the use of force, intimidation, or threats, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 372.'"
One person died and 8 were arrested, including militia leaders Ammon and Ryan Bundy, after the FBI and the Oregon State Police intercepted the group along Highway 395.

Mark Anthony Neal, the African-American scholar, makes this point : one white girl in Winnetka and the story would have been different.

No, it was young black girls and all of them settled. They settled because they felt they could get no justice whatsoever. They didn't have a chance."
It has been nearly 15 years since music journalist Jim DeRogatis caught the story that has since defined his career, one that he wishes didn't exist: R....

"Rather than allude to the vague virtues of their genders, the most powerful leaders focus on playing their chips right. When leaders dispense their ideas in small but intense doses, their voices are stronger and people around them have room to step up. And, when we stop indulging gender stereotypes, all leaders can operate with full authenticity, which invites full contribution. When the pressure’s on, smart organizations must ensure all available players are in the game."
