Will the elimination of trolls inadvertently have the effect of creating echo chambers? People seem to really struggle today with conflict, or worse see different ideas as conflict.

IoT is still too new for a IBM PC level of accidental standardization. Very much like the early days of computing. But +Jason Perlow is right that phones and devices that come out now are dead ends. I think IoT built around RaspPi or Arduino, mainly by hobbyists, will become the defacto standard.

The whole Open Source movement was really dependent on the cloned "standard" of the IBM PC model. I hope we'll see RaspPi or Arduino compatable logos on devices soon.

What about the Indian phone that cost $4? The isolationist application market has always felt restricted when coming from a free and open source world. We really need a bazaar even if it is less stable and more dangerous.

Well, it's all doable now, I ran VMs on my desktops for years, but it was never really a end-user friendly technology. When it becomes completely transparent to the end-user it will.

I think there is a lot of money to be made by having exclusive, unusual or rare product show up at a business during a certain window. Like toys in Happy Meal.

Fun takeout only kosher/dairy salad bar concept Quick Serve co-located with the Las Olas Chabad. Pick your choice of fish and tofu and mix and match with your favorite vegetables, rice and crunch ingredients and toss with a choice of different Asian dressings. There is some limited counter seating available but my recommendation is to take your bowl to go (make sure to get a lid so you can shake it up to mix the dressing well) and bring it over to one of the local parks or the beach and eat it like a true Hawaiian. You don't need to be kosher to appreciate this great healthy fast food alternative. Shalom and Aloha -- or is it "Shaloha?"
