Fiat Chrysler announces recall after hackers gain control of moving car

Although I agree with freedom of thought and choice. To say that good is not great and that religion poisons everything is still just that. Thought and choice. That is as bad as telling a brand new mother that her child is the ugliest thing ever. In other people minds that may be true, but in hers that child is the midst beautiful thing alive. And although we have freedom of speech, we still need to be cognizant of people feelings. Otherwise we will become something worse than what we are trying to teach. I applaud you Jason for trying to broaden other people's minds. But the words are a bit harsh. And as such could be met with much anger and or glee.

10 years ago today Google bought Android.

Happy Birthday, Android!

It's been 10-years since Google bought Android, and began a process that would reshape the Operating Systems market as we know it. It wasn't clear to everyone at the time whether it made any sense for the Search Giant to go into operating systems, especially the dreaded phone market. Now, it would be hard imagining a Google that didn't.
Believe it or not, it's been 10 years since Google bought Android Inc., a startup that was quietly building software for cell phones. Rich Miner, a cofounder of Android Inc. and now a general partner at Google Ventures, tweeted early this morning that today is the 10-year anniversary of the deal.

BMW and the electric semi truck. #greentechnology #engineering

An all-electric BMW 18-wheeler truck is on the road in Germany

The electric vehicle revolution came to the streets of Munich, Germany this week in the form of a 40-ton, all-electric, 18-wheeler truck.

The latest in BMW’s line of electric vehicles, the vehicle can travel 62 miles (100 kilometers) with a full battery, requires 3 to 4 hours to fully charge, and will exclusively be powered “with electricity from renewable sources,” the German auto giant says.

The truck will be used by the car company to transport vehicle components two miles across Munich seven times a day. BMW has test-driven the truck and says it is optimistic that it will be able to go a full working day on a single charge.

As countries reduce emissions with alternative energy sources, the European Commission has found that transportation is the only large sector in the EU in which greenhouse gases continue to rise.

Love this meme... Fallacy Referee.

EVEN MORE FALLACY REF!

Glen Welch reached out to me this evening with a few more Fallacy Ref memes. It seems people mentioning they saw these memes on my G+ page have been making requests to him to memeify their favorite fallacies, much like they would request a song if he was a cover band. Glen has asked me to add these new memes to my repost of his collection "to appease the masses."

Masses, consider yourselves appeased!

I have a friend who is part of this group.

In 'From Apostle to Apostate', Catherine Dunphy recounts how she went from a deeply religious background to becoming a leader of the Clergy Project, a safe, online community of ministers, priests, nuns and other religious leaders who have given up their faith.

Not bad for a hillbilly meat and three. Their menu has old school country favorites that will likely raise your blood pressure and induce a coronary episode and some good surprises like the Spice Rubbed Pork Chop which is on their lower calorie menu.

Was once great but now portions are paltry the staff is mostly stoned out of their mind at night and it's become overpriced. Food tastes pretty good but the rest leaves a bad after taste.

This place tends to be popular in Columbia because it is after all a buffet and people believe all you can eat means all you can shove down your massive gut so they keep coming and committing the same bad habits and with the worst imaginable excuses for Chinese food you could imagine. Sadly all the Chinese restaurants in Maury County are very subpar except for Fulin's in Spring Hill which is happily not a buffet.

Shut them down. Ordered a grilled chicken BLT to go got the bag looked in and saw the grilled chicken sandwich box. Drove home which is all the way across town opened up the box and inside were chicken nuggets. I called the store twice and no one answered I then promptly received prank calls from a local number. No one knows my number. When I was a kid I worked at this location and was part of their first crew but after this McDonald's as a whole has lost me for life.

This used to be a deli years ago but they started staying open late and having karaoke in the 80's. Now it's a redneck karaoke bar where Columbia's 30 to 40 year old crowds hang out and there is no cover. They've gone through some major transition in the last year. They've gone back to their roots as a karaoke first bar. Wednesday nights are ladies nights and Friday and Saturdays are karaoke nights. If you don't like smoke then stay away as smokers are very welcome and smoking abounds here. They serve a variety of mixed drinks however they tend to stick with dive bar ingredients so you'll be able to get a Sex On The Beach but not a Vesper but high class isn't why places like this exist. This will either be a hillbilly hell or a good time depending on your mood.
