Highlights from the newest cookbook in my collection, Pok Pok. I've only made one recipe so far, but I'm excited to try more.

+Google Play Was really excited about GPM All Access, but I've streamed less than 5 songs in two days and the app has used 173MB! 20.95 foreground, 152 background, settings page is untouched. I tried customer service but the rep was clueless, telling me that downloading the songs to my phone would alleviate the problem, and that streaming music is bandwidth intensive. What's going on here?

New favorite weather site. No phone apps yet, but it scales to mobile screens quite nicely.
Full-featured, global weather service, complete with 7-day forecasts that cover world, beautiful weather visualizations, and a time machine for exploring the weather in the past and far future.

Tentative: goodbye Spotify Premium, hello Google Play Music All Access. It could really use a shorter name though.

After months of tinkering with different color combinations and components, I think I'm done. For those of you not on Facebook.

I don't think of my colorblindness as a negative aspect of my life as it lets met differentiate more shades of the colors I can see.

The namesake shake-like concoctions are pretty decent, but the ice cream by itself is icy and under-flavored. It dissolves in your mouth almost as soon as it hits the tongue. The website says they just use a milk base... no cream or eggs, or some kind of thickener? How do you make ice cream without a custard base?

Yellow curry was bland and lacked heat, even when ordered spicy. The rest of the menu, from the descriptions, seemed to consist of vaguely Thai dishes mixed with typical Chinese-American fare. Unremarkable.

Very limited hours, only open three days a week, and you have to wait in line to park your car. How are we supposed to encourage people to recycle when it's such a huge hassle!?

Despite my underwhelming experience the first time, I decided to give Ziggy's a second chance. The pizza was much better, with a crisp, golden brown crust, and flavorful sauce and toppings. I still thought the cheese was a bit tough, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. Service was quick and friendly, even though the place was packed on a Friday night. Overall, it was good food for the money, and I'll definitely be back. For posterity, here's my original, two-star review: "I really wanted to like this place. It has a very charming, inviting atmosphere when you walk in, very cozy. We ordered one of the signature pizzas from the menu, a standard mixture of sausage and vegetables. It was served in a rectangular 9 x 13 pan — unusual, but not alarming. Then I had a slice. Not good. The sauce was thin and one-dimensional, and the toppings were hopelessly lost in a bland, rubbery layer of cheese that slid right off the pizza. Worst of all, the crust was thick, pale, and flavorless. I couldn't finish the crust on my pieces, and I *always* eat the crust. Did they use the wrong dough, or set the oven way too low? I'm not sure. I just know it was a bad pizza."

The food doesn't resemble Mexican food in the slightest. First thing I saw when I opened the menu was a picture of enchiladas with mashed potatoes. What!? The complimentary chips and salsa seem to be Tostitos and Pace Picante sauce. Best summary I can give is that it's a glorified Taco Bell with an Irish spin. Disclaimer: living most of my life in Southern California may have biased my opinion somewhat.

Well-prepared, fresh sushi. I prefer basic nigiri, but the specialty rolls ordered by others I've gone with have been top-notch as well. The orange in plum wine dessert is divine.
