"He said it was only his 'paranoia' that prevented him from sending over some 'deeply embarrassing musings' about sex that he had written earlier."
— BBC News

They're talking about me. Hello, ladies.

Two days ago I wrote about the quality and data-loss issues I've had with Evernote. The response has been staggering, with hundreds of comments between my post ( http://jasonkincaid.net/2014/01/evernote-the-bug-ridden-elephant/ ) and Hacker News ( https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=7009995 ).

Now Evernote CEO Phil Libin has written a response on the Evernote Blog:

I've been having some alarming issues with Evernote, including corrupted notes. I wrote a blog post discussing them (and some of my broader concerns about the service) here:

Sometimes I worry we're doing technology all wrong, and then I see stuff like this. Who knew it was possible to make such an incredible song even better?

The most recent leaked NSA slide shows how it infiltrates Google security.

A part of me can rationalize why the NSA tries to breach every security measure it can (surely others are attempting the same). But the smiley face in this slide — mocking both user privacy and the integrity of one of America's greatest companies — is disgusting.

Listen up musicians:

Check out +Philip Kaplan's  new service DistroKid, which lets musicians quickly get their music on iTunes/Spotify/Amazon/Google Play. Unlimited song uploads for $20/year, and you keep all the royalties. You can upload songs whenever you want (you don't need to package them as an album), and they show up in the stores in 2-4 hours. It looks great and is already getting rave reviews from people involved in this business.

JK Rowling is writing a new film series set in the Harry Potter universe.

I am pretty sure I'm dreaming right now. Hello dream people.
