I've been there once before but it wasn't the right conditions for shooting. This time wasn't much better so I decided to visit at night. Despite extensive searches online I couldn't find any night images taken there. It was extremely dangerous to shoot at night, especially with the rain mist allowing me to see 100ft at best (usually much less though). I visited at high tide with some stormy weather and watched the waves for 20 minutes before deciding to wait another 30 minutes. It was still a little much and I definitely had to keep my eyes opened for rouge waves. In the end though I survived and came away with what I think is a unique and compelling image. The light from a nearby fishing ship is what really made it work in the conditions.
Please tell me I'm not the only one stupid enough to shoot there at night though, share an image or experience if you have one!
