After a previous busy day of waterfall heaven in the Columbia River Gorge, I started another misty march morning with a run on the Eagle Creek Trail. I couldn't have been in more bliss as I bounded in the cold from waterfall to waterfall, just exuberant from all the greens in contrast to a snowless brown Denver. I had a whole canyon of mind blowing scenery to myself in weather that would normally have made me depressed in my native Ohio...

"Panther Creek Falls"
One of the most incredible falls I've visited in the PNW.  Getting down to the base requires some scrambling but the reward of standing in front of this thundering 130ft (40m) falls is worth it. I spent an hour just observing the falls and all it's intricate paths; definitely a place I could visit over and over.

"It's overcast, there won't be a sunset...", my famous words before the most incredible display of color I've ever seen in the Grand Canyon, possibly anywhere! Just getting to the canyon rim for sunset that day though was a monumental accomplishment. The whole adventure started when I planned a group trip to the GC to complete the famous 42 mile Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim ultra run. As part of the Denver trail running community, I had made m...

On the way to the summit of Mt. Evans sits a small 160 acre preserve of some of the world's oldest living trees. The Mount Goliath Natural Area protects a rare site of Bristlecone Pines that make excellent photographic subjects and I had been itching to photograph this particular tree in June of 2014. I left Denver at night with plans for shooting the Milky Way as a background and arrived shortly after midnight. I set up my tripod a...

Even though it was only 2 days I had an awesome time in the Dolomites last year.  I can't wait to get back and explore more of this incredibly beautiful area!

I wanted to share one of my favorite subjects to photograph for #WorldPhotographyDay.  While nowhere near the most intense aurora image I've captured I love the simplicity and openness of this image.  What's your favorite subject to photograph?

Super fast internet and free parking. It is small though and many patrons aren't respectful of the library environment (bring quiet). Friendly staff too.

I unfortunately had a cylinder 6 head gasket leak in my 04 4runner, apparently an issue Toyota fixed in later models but didn't recall for older models. Toy Auto not only fixed the problem in enough time to get be back on the road and working they were extremely helpful and knowledgable. Their pricing is the best too and came in $1000 below what the other places were quoting me. The owner went out of his way to explain everything and I'll definitely be coming back!

My wife and I went to the range for the first time yesterday and it was great. I was really impressed with the clean and modern facilities. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable; not the typical snubbing and ignoring I get at most gun shops because I look 17 instead of 27.

After wading through the dozens online for dive shops in Cozumel we settled on Blue Project based on their reviews, responses received from Paco and service offered. We chose the package with Mi Casa en Cozumel, a nice little B&B in town. This was our first-time scuba diving and we chose to do our open water referral dives with them the first 2 days to complete our certification. Each day we grabbed a taxi for about 5 US to the marina south of town where we met our instructor Blanca and Dive Master Juan. We were on a different boat most days as they work with the smaller fast boats and keep their group to 8 people or less. For each of our cert dives it was just us and Blanca, where she would go over the skills for that dive and add extras to improve our diving ability. She was an amazing instructor, very patient, and knowledgeable. She made sure we did everything right, because making sure you have a solid base of skills makes all your future dives that much more enjoyable. We cleared masks enough that it was never an issue when I needed to do so later on. After we finished skills we spent the next 30 minutes following her and enjoying the dive. She spotted lots of sea life and took the time to make sure we both saw it. After two days of cert diving we then switched to Juan for 3 more days of diving while Blanca took on new students. Juan was an awesome DM and helped with any additional skills my wife or I needed work on. He spotted tons of awesome sea life for us including sea turtles and nurse sharks and took us through some awesome swim-throughs on the Santa Rosa Wall. This is the best dive shop on the island no doubt. They keep groups small, help with all your gear and getting back in the boat, we went to a new location each time for a total of 10 dives. We will definitely be back and diving with them in the future.

Great, speedy service. I needed new coverage quickly and was taken care of, but the best part is the prices are more than competitive! Follow-up was stellar and I look forward to years of being a client of APA.
