#POTD - This is a self portrait I took using the timer feature on my #a7R.  I didn't realize the size of #FairyFalls until I stood in front of it.  This was another place in #Oregon I had all to myself while shooting; off season #traveling is great!

#POTD - This image comes from Jedediah Smith Redwood State Park in the northern part of #California.  After being snowed out of my chance to view Crater Lake I decided to make a detour on my trip to see the amazing #Redwoods.  There's just something magical about being amongst these giant trees.

#POTD - I was going to share another image from my trip today but my constant running and photography companion is very sick.  It's great to have someone with you who always wants go where you do, doesn't complain about the cold and is willing to run or hike as far as you want to at whatever pace you are.  This is Sierra enjoying our run on the 28 mile 4-Pass Loop near Aspen last July.

I used the wifi feature of the Sony #A7R to upload a low-res shot from this morning. A little processing in #Snapseed to make it pop and bam! This one's a keeper :). #Oregoncoast #Lighthouse #Nightphotography

Most companies at least offer a contest or reward of some sort to use your images in their #advertising and materials.  I really like #GoLite products but just straight up asking for your hi-res images without offering anything in return is wrong.  Your thoughts?

Seems to me that most photo companies underpay anyway.

If you saw my picture yesterday of Sierra you might have noticed I had Final Cut open.  No aerial video this time but a 1 minute film I made of my incredible #trailrun on the Eagle Creek Trail to Tunnel Falls.  Located in #Oregon, this is one of the most amazing #runs I have been on; it's packed with #waterfalls, narrow cliff trails, and lush forests.  https://vimeo.com/91103012

Ok, looking through my #Sony #a7R images from the trip and I can't find any with chromatic aberrations (also known as color fringing).  This is something I'm used to correcting for in software on almost every image shot with my a900.  I'm using the same Zeiss 16-35 & 24-70 lenses on both and shooting in RAW, so what's the difference.  Is the lack of low-pass filter causing this? In camera automatic correction to the RAW files?  All I can say is I'm extremely happy no matter the reason, as I really hate CA.  I'm sure I'll find it on an image in the future but for now, yeah!

Great, speedy service. I needed new coverage quickly and was taken care of, but the best part is the prices are more than competitive! Follow-up was stellar and I look forward to years of being a client of APA.

My wife and I went to the range for the first time yesterday and it was great. I was really impressed with the clean and modern facilities. The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable; not the typical snubbing and ignoring I get at most gun shops because I look 17 instead of 27.

Excellent staff and patient care. I called for a same day appointment and I was able to get in. Dr. Bryan and his staff took their time to give me a thorough exam and explain everything they were doing. The office was spacious and comfortable.

Worst sales service I've received at a dealership. We couldn't agree upon a price for a vehicle so I walked away from the deal. The Internet manager Dave called me back the next day to tell me in rude and no uncertain terms what he thought of me for not accepting the price they wanted. He then hung up on me. I will never consider doing business with them again or recommend them to anyone else.

Great dealership experience! The whole sales staff was was very professional and non-pressure. Scott answered all our questions and allowed my wife and I the time we needed to make our decision. We got a great deal on the vehicle we purchased, much less than the competition. After purchasing we noticed a problem with the brakes but we were promptly taken care of by Scott and their great service staff. After visiting many dealers while trying to find the right SUV for us it was nice to have a great experience that makes me want to go back again.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to browse all the handguns without being bugged and then was promptly helped when I had questions. They had a large selection with all the guns I wanted to view. This was my first handgun purchase and they helped me in choosing a Glock 23 Gen 4 that I'm very happy with. Their price was the exact same as everywhere else locally and online which made it a no brainier to buy it there.
