Teach the Future is in the midst of a peer funding campaign to raise $10,000 by May 23. So far we have raised $2,200 of the $10,000 goal (22%) in the first 12 days of the campaign (40%). The money will be used to pay teachers for futures teaching materials in June and July which will be produced and distributed in the early Fall. It’s now time to recruit now. So if you are a teacher who believes that teaching the future is important and you have a little extra time this summer, you may apply to help us develop that material at http://bit.ly/1AGf6ej7
. Previous curriculum development and/or foresight experience is preferred, but not required.
We have also amassed a lot of futures material already, but we believe there is still a lot more out there. If you have any activities, lessons, units or courses about the future that you have taught or know about, you can submit it at http://bit.ly/1EaFlee
. We receive these materials under the Creative Commons license BY-NC-SA which requires us to say where the material came from and not use it for commercial purposes. In fact, we will distribute the material as a free download in the Fall to anyone who wants it.
So join the Teach the Future movement by applying to be a developer and/or by submitting your material. We look forward to hearing from you.
And of course donate to the campaign (www.startsomegood.com/teachthefuture
) so we are sure to reach our goal and send this money to teachers.
