The Rutherford County Sheriff implemented the fantastic "Garden of Hope" a few years back. I absolutely love the fact that they are teaching inmates a valuable and lifelong skill while also supplementing their food budget. I'm lucky enough to see this project in action several days a week. It's come along quite nicely. http://www.dnj.com/article/20140530/NEWS01/305300029/Inmates-grow-pride-Garden-Hope-

We've had a great growing season this year. I'm looking forward to seeing how well our cool weather crops will do.

Thankful for such nice weather on a day off from work. Got the fall crop of lettuces, kale, squash, snap peas, bush beans (green bean) and carrots planted and enjoyed caring for the crops still producing. This is the first time I have let lettuce "go to seed" so I can replant next spring. It's interesting to see what lettuce grows into when you let it "bolt".

It's not all country music in Nashville. Here is some serious talent coming out of Franklin TN just outside of Nashville. Kirsten Arian - Face in the Dark (LIVE): http://youtu.be/4GSPbRECx38

So I just recently found out about Republic Wireless and it intrigues me. I dropped cell service a year ago (still have my company issued blackberry for work) and have relied on WiFi and apps like Skype and Google Hangouts for my personal calls using a Nexus 7 v2 tablet and an ipod touch. It has worked out famously so far. The idea of a phone that seamlessly switches from WiFi to cellular backup on the fly even during calls sounds great and I didn't know if anyone had any experience with Republic. Thoughts?

I utilize G+ to connect with family and friends as well as people that share similar interests.  I have several circles to keep things organized / relevant and would suggest that you add me to the following circles:

Technology
Gaming
Battlefield 3
Xbox
home theater
Classic literature
food
fashion
fitness
co-workers
telecommunications

I am a happily married guy with a family full of awesome kids.

I enjoy g+ hangouts and will gladly participate in civilized / interesting chats when time permits.

A long time cable guy, I currently supervise / coach an awesome group of engineering / line technicians in the Middle Tennessee area.

Quality time with my family, reading, working out, cross country obstacle racing, home theater tinkering and gaming are my primary joys outside of work.

This is our favorite carry-out Chinese restaurant in Murfreesboro. Fast service, good food, great selection of items on the menu. They are open late too which is really nice.

I've been a frequent customer at this location for several years now and they have consistently fantastic pizza. The staff is always friendly and willing to accommodate special requests on your pizza. I can honestly say that we haven't visited many other pizza locations after having discovered Papa Murphys. I recommend the cowboy pizza or a spinach and mushrooms with the garlic white sauce it's delicious.

Great food that doesn't fit the "traditional" Mexican food mold. I'm a huge fan of the Korean BBQ taco and their chips and dips. The portion sizes are a little light but I will say that I've never left hungry. I've visited this location 4 times in the last 3 months and they absolutely have consistency in the quality of their food which is a huge plus +!! A meal, some dip and a drink will run you about $8 - $12 per person. Tasty and highly recommended. P.S. they have a lot of gluten free options for those that adhere to a gluten free diet.
