Great visualisation!  At the bottom of the page is a look at other records: Bob Beamon's 1968 Long Jump in Mexico City is still the Olympic record, 44 years later.  That's a staggering achievement.
 
I'm trying to picture a video of a head to head between Bolt and the 12 second Burke, 20 meters, ~2.5 seconds behind. A superimpose video would be interesting, like what NBC did with the gymnasts.
 
+Steven Ho Bolt is averaging 37.4 kph (23.2 mph), while Burke is averaging 30 kph (18.6 mph), so that Bolt is 25% faster than him.  Next time you're driving at 55 mph, see how much faster someone seems when they're doing 69 mph, and that's the same relative speed difference.
