I walked in to a crowded bicycle store this morning and overheard much bemoaning about Specialized and the Cafe Roubaix fiasco. It prompted me to raise my voice and loudly proclaim ..... "I am Roubaix"! Slowly, people turned and saw the good humour on my face and so began a chorus of "No. I am Roubaix". Today is gonna be a good day. (disclaimer ..... this did not actually happen but would have been a cool way to start the day - walking into a crowded bicycle store I mean).
For some inexplicable reason my Garmin500 (which has performed flawlessly since new about 18months ago) has been running slow! Protected sections of my regular commute, unaffected by elevation or headwinds, displayed average speed at 5-6 kph below usual. Cadence was about right but my effort was far greater than the result justified. I actually stopped to check my tyre pressure (which was fine btw). I battled on for another few kms but the jarring effect of what I was seeing on the read out and knew to be wrong forced me to turn the unit off. Has anyone else had this problem with a Garmin500?
Thank you! I visited Gents Barber on the strength of a friends recommendation. I am so glad I did. The service was top shelf without being fussy and I'm delighted with the result! Thanks again and I'll be back with my 4 boys in the near future.
