That first inning was pretty much perfect. Lots of offense, Vogey's looking good, Morse even closed it out w/ a nice defensive play. Keep it coming...

I wasn't outraged that Eich was appointed CEO, and I'm not outraged that he was pressured to step down.

Will this have a chilling effect on people who look to lobby publicly to curtail the equal treatment of others under the law? Probably.

Is that a bad outcome?

James Surowiecki on how #Mozilla lost its C.E.O.: “His unquestioned technical ability notwithstanding, this was a candidate who divided the board, who had already been controversial, and whose promotion was guaranteed to generate reams of bad publicity.”
The real mystery here is not why Brendan Eich stepped down but why he ever got hired in the first place.

The outcome may be fine, though the question arises whether the ends justify the means. Political Correctness tends to snowball if left unchecked. Satirical ridicule -- as practiced by Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert -- tends to have moderating effects, as well as being great entertainment.

While oVirt was designed to run across separate management and virtualization hosts, it’s been possible from early ...

This is part two of a series based on talks at February at DevConf in the Czech Republic. This part talks about what we are actually doing, and why we think those things address the problems.
