With Halloween only a couple of days away, I thought it would be cool to create a spooky interior for our Pop-Up Book project.

You can add your support here if you think this would make a cool LEGO set: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/151695

Latest LEGO model!
I decided we needed to dispense our Halloween chocolates in style this year! :) Building instructions and program file are included if you'd like to build your own. All you need is the retail EV3 set (31313). #LEGO #Mindstorms

This is what happens when I have too much time on my hands.
What can I say. I've been having way too much fun with our LEGO pop-up book. :) Don't forget to add your support if you think this could become a real LEGO set: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/151695

This started out as a concept model for building a #LEGO BB8, but I thought it was interesting enough on its own. Still a few improvements to be made, mostly to the steering system. I did try using a servo motor at some point but it was just a bit too large to fit in the housing. Will definitely tinker with it more in the future!

There are much more elaborate LEGO Spirograph machines out there, but I wanted to create a simple one that could still create some interesting patterns. Here is the result, complete with instructions.

Only one more day until the official release of my Maze set! I put together a tutorial for anyone that wants to balance up the tilt ranges (which I've discussed in my previous posts). Definitely not necessary to enjoy the set, and won't make it any easier to solve the mazes, but might allow the building of more creative obstacles (ramps anyone?) and those with an aggressive play style might feel a little less constrained.

My latest LEGO model!
Inspired by all the Egg Bots that have come before, I decided to have a crack at designing my own. Instructions and program file are available if you'd like to build your own.

Finally finished my LEGO Orrery of the Earth, Moon and Sun. Obviously I wasn't focusing on the relative sizes and distances between the objects - it's definitely not to scale!

Rather, it was an interesting experiment in reproducing the rotations and orbital periods using the limited selection of LEGO gears.

Also includes instructions for building you own if you are ambitious!
