I wrote about the multiverse, Star Trek, and True Detective in this essay for the +Los Angeles Review of Books.
Now that the science of the “multiverse” is catching up to science fiction, how will theology change?

One of my favorite things I've ever written

One of my favorite things I've ever written, for +Pacific Standard

After being robbed on Monday night, I set out to find my stolen cell phone. As it turns out, I was able to pinpoint its location within 4 meters using a third-party app. DC police needed a court order, three days, and a couple hundred bucks to figure out the closest cell tower.
A cumbersome legal process provides less accurate information on a phone's whereabouts than a third-party application
