Hands down the best meatball sandwich. One giant meatball is cut up and spread out across the roll. I like to order the Jalapeno Jack version which adds pickled jalapenos and a slice of jack cheese to the standard meatball sandwich. There's a small Italian market in the front of this place with various pastas, canned goods, and deli items. The seating in the back is like a living room full of old Tchotchkes (not in a bad TGI Fridays way but in a authentic homely way).

I go here for two things. Ravioli and deli meat. The ravioli are tender. The sauce is meaty and savory. Ample parmigiana is included in your quart/pint. You can get them warm at the counter or buy frozen to prepare at home. Their meatballs are a little more dense than I like so they're not a must have. The meat counter has a large selection of Boar's Head brand meats (New Yorkers know what I'm talking about). Hot and mild Gabagol in both the cured and cooked varieties. They also have Boar's Head turkey, pastrami, bolognia, wurst, and cheese. Get the Ravioli for dinner and the lunch meat for sandwiches. The wait is usually a little long so take a number as soon as you arrive. They're closed on Mondays, so you can't get your ravioli fix on Monday.

If you value high quality fish and you're willing to pay extra for it this place is great. I'd go back if it was within our budget, but I can have sushi twice elsewhere for the price of one visit here. Pros: High quality fish and nice atmosphere are the major selling points for this place. Cons: Expensive. Most items were priced $8-$10 dollars higher than other places. $8 Nigiri, $17-$22 Special Rolls, etc. Ended up spending more than we usually spend for sushi, even with a Google offer. We also had a bad experience with service. Patrons seated after us received their food before us and it took a long time for us to get water even after we requested it.

Patxi's is legit Chicago "Stuffed" pizza. I've had Lou Malnati's in Chicago and this is better. The stuffed pizza is their signature and you haven't had Patxi's until you've ordered it. I've ordered take out, had it delivered, ordered it half-baked, etc. Every time has been delicious. Try the whole wheat crust, it's just as good as the regular crust. They also have vegan cheeses and gluten free options, but only in thin crust. Their lunch special at $10 gets you a slice, salad, and a soda. The salad is a scaled down version of their menu salads; your choice. There are 3-4 options for pizza including stuffed pizza. Trust me, one slice is enough. The only problem I've had is that one time they made a mistake on my delivery order, delivering a combination pizza instead of my pepperoni and sausage. They baked a new pizza and delivered it as soon as they could, but it still took 40 minutes to get the pizza I ordered. Luckily it only happened the one time. Pros: Delicious. A true Chicago stuffed pizza experience. Options for dietary restricted guests. Online ordering and delivery. Cons: Long wait time for pizza. It's best to order ahead if you plan on eating in the restaurant or plan ahead for dinner if you order for takeout or delivery. Small restaurant for dining in.

Great tasting pizza. I definitely prefer the regular crust over the thin crust. My favorite is the Four cheese. The Funghi is good, but avoid it if you don't like that earthy mushroom flavor. Make sure to take the honey wheat bread offered to you, it's more carbs but it's worth it. The pasta dishes are just so/so. They've recently expanded to include a bar section with cocktails that I've been meaning to try and parking is much easier with the new garage. I wish they delivered, but they compensate by offering their pizza cheaper for takeout.

Good sandwiches especially the Reuben. They also have a large selection of potato salads and German fare. If you're a NYC transplant that needs their sugar fix, they have good Black & White cookies. I gave a 1 for Decor because it's nothing exciting. It can also be hard to find a seat during the lunch rush.
