It would seem that our days truly are evil, but does that doesn't mean that we should be discouraged?  How does the child of God respond to the evil day? Find out in this week's Thought From the Word. Be sure and leave your thoughts here or on our blog

This week's Thought From the Word

Our normal mid-week article will be postponed until Sunday.  Instead I'd thought I'd bring you a few thoughts on worship from the Southside lectures. There's has been rain, winds, and floods, but our spirits were not dampened and our anchors remained firm.  What a wonderful week of praise it has been.

Earlier this week we released the first of two articles on biblical authority entitled "But we believe". In it we looked at the problem with putting limitations on our brethren that go beyond scriptural authority for our own comfort. This is the second of two and in this one we look briefly at the other side of the issue. In this article we'll look at the trouble with ignoring passages because they don't fit a particular doctrine or lifestyle, and we'll try to answer the question of can the Bible ever be brought to contradict itself.
Don't forget to share your thought either here or on under the blog section of our website. You'll find it under the Online resources tab just above articles.
We'll be talking about these things this Sunday in our morning and evening services. http://www.centervillechurchofchrist.net/resources22/articles/2015/06/12/defining-authority-part-ii-the-thief-cant-save-you

This week's "Thought From the Word" deals with Biblical authority and personal sensibilities. Do we really speak where the Bible speaks, and do we truly respect its silence? Look for a follow up later this week. Feel free to comment here or on the blog section of our website.

Introduction
I guess I'm a consummate geek. Just made the switch to Mac after replacing 5 laptops in four years. I work as the manager of client services for Data Foundry, and I preached for 13 years for Greens Bayou Church of Christ. Currently I'm worshiping at Decker Prairie until I find somewhere else I can be of service. I have a passion for the study of words, photography, and writing.

I've known Daniel Baker the GM for All American for the better part of 3 years, and have been impressed not only with his knowledge of the industry, but also his commitment to customer experience. Daniel's background is in turf and greens management, so he has extensive knowledge of the products he sells and how they will perform in the real world. He can make recommendations for customers that will take into account the things that make your outdoor project unique. Customer satisfaction is key to the team so whether it's sod, soil, mulch, or stone let them help you make your next outdoor project a success.

I have traveled great distances to shop here. For a business to be thriving in this economy these guys have to be doing something right. A great mix of new and vintage games a good selection of minis and games that appeal to everyone from the novice to the most experienced. Anytime I'm in the area I make plans to visit.
