Great article on solo travel
What does the solo traveler look like nowadays? Women are following their own schedules to explore destinations beyond North America, preferring to relax in luxury at resorts, full service hotels or on board cruise ships. As a frequent solo traveller myself, I sought out some Toronto experts to find out what they think of this trend and ask for their advice.

Look at this!

(For US residents only.) A chance to win a one-week Photo Expedition to the amazing Galapagos Islands including:

- Roundtrip flights from the US via LAN Airlines
- 7 days/6 nights aboard an Ecoventura Galapagos Expedition yacht
- An EOS Canon Rebel T3i DSLR
- Tips from travel photographer Nils Schlebusch who will accompany you on the trip.

This grand prize is for two people, but hey, you can go solo or bring a friend.

Either way, you’ll be rubbing shoulders with Blue Footed Boobies, Marine Iguanas and the legendary Galapagos Giant Tortoises.

Travel for Inspiration – a new passion

The human eye is designed for distance.

Unfortunately, I work on a computer many hours a day using a focal length that can be measured in inches.

I live in a city where my view bumps up against buildings rather than enjoying the sweep of the landscape. And when I get outside Toronto into relatively flat Ontario, my vision is stopped short by trees.

That’s why I love to travel to mountains where I can stretch my eyes and really see the horizon. When I do, I’m inspired. http://solotravelerblog.com/solo-travel-inspiration-passion/
