Introduction
HI, I'm Janice Waugh, author of The Solo Traveler’s Handbook, publisher of Solo Traveler, the blog for those who travel alone and moderator of the Solo Travel Society on Facebook where over 60,000 solo travelers share information. I have been quoted and interviewed in many media outlets including NPR, CNN, the Oprah Blog, the Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, LA Times, the Globe & Mail and USA Today. I have also spoken at The Smithsonian on solo travel and at a number of industry events on travel blogging. On Twitter I'm known as @solotraveler.

I am founder of Full Flight Press which publishes The Traveler’s Handbooks and co-founder of the Global Bloggers Network, an online resource for travel bloggers.

Prior to my work in the online travel space, I had a writing practice specializing in websites, social media and how-to content on small business issues. In the 90s I had a conference company which was sold in 2000. Between businesses I traveled with my family for a year and completed an MA in History.
