- WeddingLovelyCommunity Manager, present
At the heart of online business success is a strong content strategy and community. It's my gusto to not only craft content that informs, persuades, entertains and connects, but also foster community through public relations outreach and social media networking.
Whilst completing my Bachelor of Communication combined with International Studies at the University of Technology, Sydney, I worked as a copywriter intern for Lead Creation (a lead generation and direct B2B marketing firm) where I first acquired knowledge of SEO and strategic copy.
In 2010, not knowing a soul, I bravely embarked on one year of student exchange to the University of Miami, FL. I loved the learning experience and knew I'd be back!
During the summer of my final year of college, I flew back to Miami to intern with the marketing and public relations department of the Miami Children’s Hospital (a world leader in pediatric healthcare) as well as MeetOnCruise (a social network for cruisers), both of which refined my blogging, interviewing, pitching and social media skills.
After graduation, I returned to Miami to live and work permanently and contributed as Content Manager / PR Specialist at Optimum7 (a full service online marketing and consultation firm) which strengthened my SEO knowledge, PR outreach and ability to manage and create stellar content for a diverse range of clients.
Currently I am working as a Community Manager at WeddingLovely (an online planning application and global vendor network) and have helped them to grow their blog to 50,000 page views per month and social media following across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google+, LinkedIn and Pinterest.
