Happy National Cat Day! Quincy and Barnie are celebrating like crazy.
October 29th has been designated National Cat Day. I'll be honest. Every day is Cat Day at my house. Barnie and Quincy welcome each new Cat Day sometime between 12am to 3 am, chasing each other up and down the stairs, running crazy through the house, and finding loud or crinkly things to play ...

National Cat Day..?? Pray; Please tell me what that is? Aren't we really carrying this a bit too far?
.
I thought Groundhog Day (Feb 2), House Pet's Day (Feb 20), Teddy Day (Oct 11), were somewhat strange. And now, thanks to Miss Janet, we finally have a day for our furry friends, too. What more could a man ask for..??
.
ha ha, just kidding. There's a family of 3 at my home. I always had them since past 35 years. They get goodies from me every day. Every day is their day.
Good Post, Miss Janet.

Antidepressant toxicity in dogs and cats - thanks Dr. +Justine Lee for assistance with this article.
SSRI Antidepressants are prescribed for humans and used in veterinary medicine, too. Caution is advised though, as this class of drugs is a common cause of poisoning in pets.

Quincy helps out.
Reviewing an older article about cats peeing in bathtubs (it happens), I needed a photo. I searched a few places, then remembered... I had a cat and a bathtub. Problem solved?

Lilies - Easter, Stargazer, and others in this family are very TOXIC to cats. Even in the smallest amounts (pollen!)
Lilies are bold, beautiful, fragrant and... poisonous to cats. What makes lilies poisonous is unknown, but it is known that the toxin is deadly.
