Father, teach us to contemplate Your glory that we can continue to be transformed. Please make us more like Jesus for the honor of Your name. Amen.

Introduction

Welcome! You are visiting the site of an Army chaplain’s wife and an empty nest mom. I love the Lord and am ever grateful to be His child. Thanks for stopping by--I'm happy that you came!

Bragging rights
• My name is Janet. • I love to read and write and study and teach. • I never outgrew fairytales. In fact, I married Prince Charming! We're living happily ever after serving our great King. • Sometimes I think I should have been a librarian. I love matching great resources with people who can use or appreciate them. • I love taking pictures of flowers. I call this flower hunting. • Taking pictures of flowers sometimes leads to taking pictures of bugs and other critters (squirrels, lizards, frogs . . .). I don't like bugs or reptiles, but they stop being frightening and start being fascinating when you are trying to take their picture. • I enjoy coffee and big muffins, popcorn, Mexican food, and diet Pepsi with lime. (Not altogether! Yuck!) • I hate strawberries. Tomatoes are only good in salsa. • I try to run 3 to 5 miles a day. • I’ve moved 15 times and lived in 8 states and 2 countries. I’m still a California girl at heart, loving sunshine, the ocean, sand under my feet, and salty air, but I’m learning to appreciate the unique gifts of this country’s many states.
