"Jane Doe" was born and raised in the 7th Ward area of New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated from Mc Donogh 35 Senior High School in New Orleans, LA in 2003. She also attended Dillard University in New Orleans, LA and received her BA in Psychology and Mass Communications (Music Business Concentration). She began writing at the tender age of 6. She had her first book mystery book published at the age of 9 by her 4th grade teacher. Throughout her childhood she took part in all aspects of the arts. Her mother put her in dance, music, art and drama classes.
Her passion is to help people in need and, most of all, music. She wants to promote a positive message to youth. “The youth are our future. We need to give them hope.” She is currently pursing her Associate’s Degree at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Life Coaching & Spiritual Studies. She is a spoken word artist/songwriter under Starfish Management, CDCMG & Rich Hipster based in New Orleans & New York City.
She is also a community activist & volunteers in several community organizations such as: J.A.R.E.D.- Justice Against The Rage of Endless Deaths, Voices of Our Generation, Dinneral Shavers Educational Fund, Girl Scouts of America, Each One Save One, V-Day.org, The Arc of Greater New Orleans, and Watson Memorial Teaching Ministries Member. She strives to change the violence in our city streets.
