Woohoo (not) Something for me to look forward to. Who says that my diabetes, depression and recent chronic cognition failures will lead to nothing? Now, it seems, I can look forward to dementia. Yippee >:-8
People with mild cognitive impairment are at higher risk of developing dementia if they have diabetes or psychiatric symptoms such as depression, finds a new review led by UCL researchers.

Deja vu? Don't get me wrong, I think we should stay in the union...and talk of referenda is stability damaging. But how can anyone believe anything that comes out of Tory mouths. Both #CameronMustGo and #OsborneMustGo

Don't dismiss Amazon's new Siri-in-a-can just yet. One day, ambient computers just like it will be as common as toasters. Here's why.

I'm getting sick and tired of the repeated ConDem lies about our national debt. Before engaging in the topic, please read this to get the facts right
Us Labour supporters have our work cut out at the moment, from our telescreens, Big Brother relentlessly bombards us with negativity about a huge and irresponsible debt caused by the Labour party. People in our pubs and offic...

It is too late for my late brother, but if genetic then there may be hope for his and our children, and children's children.

How blatant are the lies... and we have to pay to get them too. Check out just what is under the label 'welfare'... things like 'pensions not under the pensions label'. Gross politeering... and costing £5m of our money
Across the country this month millions of us will be receiving tax returns from the government with colourful, sexy-looking pie charts on them, helpfully outlining where all our tax is being spent. This is, according to George Osborne, a revolution in transparency over how people’s money is being used by the government.

AKA the artist Sadistic Scribbler, a retired teacher & data comms specialist, now designing websites
Introduction
Half-Polish / Half-Italian British-born artist-cum-photographer who earned a living as a designer and artist between jobs as a teacher and IT Comms specialist (see my CV on LinkedIn).

Started out as a comic book artist (first underground in the 70s to mainstream in the late 80s) before teaching art & photography to teens. Moved into computers, web-design, photo-manips, etc. before returning to teaching in 2002 (as an English teacher).

In 2006 I temporarily lost my sight (right in the middle of a lesson with Year 11s), regained it but then started on the slow downhill decline that comes with MS… including pain, fatigue, vision & cognitive problems, and tremors & spasms. All of which makes drawing, painting and photographing very difficult when not in remission.

I’m now 'sorta-retired' because of the symptoms, but will still accept art or photography commissions, as well as website designs and IT consultancy. More details of which can be found on my business site: www.idea-technology.co.uk and artist portal: www.sadisticscribbler.co.uk.

I’m currently working on developing my use of digital painting. Digital painting is an emerging art form in which traditional painting techniques such as watercolor, oils, etc. are applied using digital tools by means of a computer, a digitizing tablet and stylus, and software. Digital painting differs from other forms of digital art, particularly computer-generated art, in that it does not involve the computer rendering from a model, nor does it use the computer to automatically generate a pseudo-painting. Instead, the artist uses traditional painting techniques to create the digital painting directly on the computer as if it were just another brush or medium.

I create the painting, directly on my PC, by using various painting software. The tablet can be compared to a canvas or watercolor paper surface, while the stylus pen or mouse is my paintbrush.
