To expensive people aren't going to pay $300 for a fake instrument when they can buy a beautiful taylor guitar for the same price.

Interesting Wired analysis of the big changes afoot at Google. As a photographer and member of the strong photo community here, my fingers are crossed hard that all the good photo storage, editing, and sharing stuff will get even better with this move. I also think hangouts are huge and hope they will live long and proper.
Photo: Alex Washburn/Wired As a Facebook and Twitter competitor, Google+ never really stood a chance. By some combination of odd design, confusing nomenclature—remember Circles? Sparks?—and the simple fact that no one ever really used it, Google’s grand plan to unite its many products into a single social product just didn’t pan out. So it should…

Great news for the Google photography community. +Bradley Horowitz is now at the helm of Google's Photos and Streams products.

Just wanted to confirm that the rumors are true -- I’m excited to be running Google’s Photos and Streams products!  It’s important to me that these changes are properly understood to be positive improvements to both our products and how they reach users.

Detailed preview of the upcoming Apple Photos app in the lynda.com articles center. The Photos app doesn't sound like serious competition for Lightroom nor a replacement for Aperture--so it's not for serious hobbyists or pro photographers. And the prices on iCloud storage may put it out of the reach of consumers who shoot a lot. So who will like it?
Find out why Photos for OS X is important, what will impact current iPhoto and Aperture users, and what to expect when Apple releases the app in the spring.

Jax has the best seafood in Boulder and has for years. It's tough to get a table on weekends, but locals love to pop in during the week and sit at the u-shaped bar or one of the two prized tables in front of Jax, where you can see the Boulder scene close up. The service is great; waiters tend to stay there for years. Do not miss the calamari appetizer. The catfish po'boy is a good deal. Some entrees are relatively pricey, but the consistent quality makes the price worthwhile. One downside - acoustics aren't good, so it can be hard to have an intimate conversation in the small dining room.
