Are you a morning person? No? Well, blame your parents. A new study released today suggests that morning people are born, not made – it’s all in your genes. Travelling to Mars never looked this good: SpaceX releases a series of retro-themed Mars travel posters. Apple is sick of you all using Google Maps, acquiring a new mapping company to improve Apple Maps. This 60 second video shows why sitting at your desk is literally killing you. Stand up! G...

Forget Apple Pay, forget Pay-n-Go, forget cards, forget, well – money. In the future, if Fujitsu has its way, we’ll be paying for everything by simply looking at it. Fujitsu shows off its mobile payment platform with iris scanner.  More on Samsung’s “Project Orbis” – set to take on Apple Watch. Wolfram Research, famous for their natural language calculation engine, have now ventured into imagery – using AI to determine what object is within a pic...

When all hope seems lost on Earth, with riots in UK and US, Tony Abbott, and the English Cricket Team – just remember that at the end of the day, 225,300,000 km away – Curiosity is watching a blue sun set on another freaking planet. First photos from Curiosity’s HD Colour camera “Mastcam” of the blue Martian sunset. Facebook takes on Google by bypass with “Add a Link” function on Mobile status updates (furthermore, does this omit PPC?) What would...

Considering it’s poll day – if you haven’t voted already – here is the Tech Policy Guide to the 2015 General Election. I hope that in some small part these policies will sway your vote today. Technology policy is the most important of all! /sarcasm We need to be careful when those developing our military robots are Star Wars nerds. Next thing you know, the AT-AT walker will be real. For now, its called ATrias. WE HAVE HOLOGRAMS! VoxieBox is a sys...

There’s a science storm brewing at the moment. On one hand, there are the scientists who think the science is moving too fast – calling for a moratorium on Genetic engineering research until a moral code can be established. On the other hand, Trans-humanist scientists want to continue the practice. The US has already withdrawn all funding. Kind of feel like this is the debate they had before they invented the Atom Bomb. We’ll only get a moral cod...

This is a test, and I’ll explain. But first, Microsoft has secretly been monitoring brains. 2,000 people were surveyed and over 100 people had their brain activity tracked in order for Microsoft to determine the results of a study published today. Back in 2000 they did the same thing, and now 15 years later it concludes that our attention spans have dropped 33%. From 12 seconds to 8 seconds. That means that humans in 2015 have a shorter attention...

Facebook today are launching their long-rumoured Instant Articles platform for hosting published content. Immediately they will be working with The Guardian, Buzzfeed, NYT, National Geographic and other high profile publishers but this platform is expected to roll out further. There are some impressive features in this platform that also allows you to customise the links themselves with your own font, colours, borders etc. Interesting stuff. Chec...

No one reads Apple Terms and Conditions – so Apple’s new plan to collect your DNA is probably already been ticked and approved by you at some point in the past. Apple plans to team up with scientists to create apps that will use DNA testing (but for good – not evil). Because fingerprints just weren’t enough for Apple. Soon you’ll need to unlock your iPhone with a drop of blood. Quick thinking lady, hostage uses “Pizza Hut app” to call 911. Orders...

It’s not every day you witness an entire culture go extinct – but that is what is happening to the “Trucker” right now – as last night Daimler released its fully legal, road-worthy, licenced self-driving big rig truck. Behind all the glitz (Check out that projection mapping of the Hoover Dam! Wow!) of self-driving cars though, even I’m a bit hesitant..  not only will thousands of truckers lose their jobs, but more devastating – what happens to al...

A few weeks ago I shared that Elon Musk would be announcing something big, and last night he introduced the Tesla Battery called “Powerwall” that will and can power your house, effectively taking you off grid (no more power bills!). He also discussed his grand plan to power the world with batteries. It might seem dry, but it’s quite a leap in battery development. 7-10kWH for home use and business models are coming. IN THE FUTURE, you may never get caught driving under the influence – because your car will already know exactly how drunk you are. Programmers have developed an algorithm that can tell when humans are intoxicated. Tip: don’t worry about breath-mints or eye-drops, your nose gives it away. American Airlines grounded… because of an iPad bug. The iPhone 8 will be a 3D hologram. Scientists are working on a 3D display that “floats” an image over a scr...

Proof that jumping blindly can sometimes pay off.
Introduction
I am a digital advertising specialist working as a Creative Technologist at 360i in London, United Kingdom. I define myself as a programmer with a designer's eye, but can also project manage with high attention to detail.

Recently, with minimal savings and a final pay in my pocket - I made the jump from Australia to the United Kingdom - and haven't looked back since.

I can make his ears wiggle, have a scar over my heart (and a machine inside it), and I consider myself for the most part - awesome (/sarcasm).

I often think about the McGurk Effect.
Bragging rights
I died for 47 minutes. Saw the light, wasn't impressed. Came back.
