ICYMI: THE PROTECTION OF GOD STANDS SURE ON HIS CHILDREN – Esther: Christians Must Have Faith In God’s Promises Of Protection (Passage: Esther 6) Haman plotted to kill Mordecai at the same time that God was determined to promote him. The plan of God prevailed over Mordecai’s life. He was promoted, but his enemy (Haman) was killed for his evil plot (Haman was killed for the sake of Mordecai and other Jews). The scripture reported, “That night the king could not sleep. So one was commanded to bring the book of the records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king. And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s eunuchs, the doorkeepers who had sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus. Then the king said, “What honor or dignity has been bestowed on Mordecai for this?” And the king’s servants who attended him said, “Nothing has been done for him.” So the king said, “Who is in the court?” Now Haman had... FYI: FORGIVENESS IS A MUST FOR ALL CHRISTIANS: Christians Must Keep To The Bible’s Instruction on Forgiveness (Passage: Matthew 18) Jesus Christ used the simplest of languages to explain what forgiveness is all about. While Peter struggled with the requirements and wanted to validate his reasoning, Jesus challenged him with some big numbers to keep his common sense in check. However, it wasn’t the numbers that mattered, but the core message passed across. It must be understood that a Christians should not keep any record of an offense, but forgive whoever has wronged them. The Bible reported, “... Then Peter came to Him and said, “Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven” (Matthew 18:21-22)” The Holy Spirit Energizes Us To Forgive Easily Jesus Christ focused his teachings on the requirements of... HUMANS ARE REQUIRED TO OBEY GOD’S LAWS – 2 Kings: Everyone Must Be In Compliance With God’s Laws Passage: 2 Kings 23 All people are required to obey God’s laws. Humans find this simple commandment challenging; therefore, they rationalize and look for every opportunity to evade it. Meanwhile, everyone knows that God would never ask us to do whatever is impossible. He won’t ask us to do what we are not capable of doing. God who asks us to comply with his commandment of obedience also knows we can do it. His grace is ever available for us to always meet his expectations. God has endowed his grace on humans to have the capability of accomplishing whatever we have set out hearts to do. That is, we can meet the standard of God if we choose to do so. Some people have chosen to meet God’s expectations, and they had God’s blessings to reap for their efforts. Let’s delve into the Bible and learn from someone who chose to disrupt the routine... Are You A Grateful Child Of God?: People ought to be thankful for every blessing they receive from God. In as much everyone will agree with this fact, most people still find it difficult sometimes to give God their heartfelt praises. We drag our feet and wait for the happy moment to come so that we can express our gratitude to God. Meanwhile, the practice of giving God conditional praises is insufficient to satisfy God. FYI: GOD SEEKS REPENTANCE OR PUNISH ISRAELITES – Amos: God Requires Repentance From People (Passage: Amos 2) Israelites provoked God to an extent that he decided to keep the record of their sins and promised to punish them. Israelites lacked godly fear and were brutal to their neighbors. God promised them a severe punishment as the bible recorded, “Thus says the Lord: “For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, because they sell the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of sandals” (Amos 2:6). Lesson On Repentance God who is a merciful God also keeps a record of sin for people who reject repentance. The Creator will not lightly esteem people who heartlessly deal with their fellows. God’s watchful eyes see how wicked people operate; he will catch up with them in due time. However, Jehovah is interested in repentance of a sinner. Whoever turns to God in humility and repent from his sinful... [[ Visit www.BibleArena.org for full links, other content, and more! ]] #Amos #consequence #courage #devotion #faithfulservice

FYI: ZEALOUS JEHOVAH WILL REWARD FAITHFUL SERVICE – Nahum: God Will Reward Faithful Christians (Passage: Nahum 1) Faithful services. Christians are required to give due honor and faithfully serve him at all times. We must give whatever it takes to make God happy with us. The Creator reserves his measurable punishment for anyone who fails to offer him an acceptable service. It is written, “God is jealous, and the Lord avenges; The Lord avenges and is furious. The Lord will take vengeance on His adversaries, and He reserves wrath for His enemies; The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked. The Lord has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet. He rebukes the sea and makes it dry, and dries up all the rivers. Bashan and Carmel wither, and the flower of Lebanon wilts. The mountains quake before Him, The hills melt, and the earth heaves at His presence, Yes, the... FYI: GOD WILL PUNISH ISRAELITES FOR THEIR SINS – Amos: Children of God Must Not Abuse God’s Grace With Sin (Passage: Amos 8) Israelites provoked God with sin, and the Creator promised to make them pay for it. Amos the servant of God prophesied, “And it shall come to pass in that day,” says the Lord God, “That I will make the sun go down at noon, And I will darken the earth in broad daylight; I will turn your feasts into mourning, And all your songs into lamentation; I will bring sackcloth on every waist, And baldness on every head; I will make it like mourning for an only son, and its end like a bitter day” (Amos 8:9-10). Impact of Sin vs Holiness God can cope with anything other than sin - because sin is not a part of his system. Among all human activities on earth, nothing is strong enough to stop God’s operation - except sin! Sin can limit God’s blessing in anyone’s life. It can turn an active blessing to a passive blessing. That is,... [[ Visit www.BibleArena.org for full links, other content, and more! ]] #Amos #OLDTESTAMENT #consequence #hypocriticalchristians

FYI: GOD’S VALIDATION IS THE KEY TO SUCCESS – 1 Chronicles:   God's Guidance Helps Us Survive - The Holy Spirit! Kind David authorized a military census that God did not approve, and he was punished for his action. Since David’s sinful action was evident in Israel. His unapproved census was expunged from history, and the record was never referenced in the land. The scripture confirmed, “Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but he finished not, because there fell wrath for it against Israel; neither was the number put in the account of the chronicles of king David” (1 Chronicles 27:24 KJV). The Holy Spirit Is Our Guide As children of God, we must endeavor to operate within our approved jurisdictions, and never attempt to usurp God's sovereign power. Also, we must allow the Holy Spirit to guide our operations, rather than yielding to emotion and carnal suggestions. With all certainty, God will help us if we consult him on any matter.... FYI: JOSHUA WITNESSED GOD’S BENEFITS – Joshua: Children of God Will Earn Huge Rewards for Their Good Services (Passage: Joshua 23) Joshua the servant of God recounted his experience with God after he had lived 110 years. He had witnessed God’s goodness from childhood to his old age. Joshua witnessed how God miraculously delivered Israelites from their Egyptian slave masters. God parted the Red Sea and performed many other miracles in the wilderness while they sojourned to their Promised Land. Joshua counseled Israelites to remain grateful to God and obey his commandments. He reminded them of multiple benefits they would receive should they faithfully serve God. Joshua said, “Therefore be very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, lest you turn aside from it to the right hand or to the left, and lest you go among these nations, these who remain among you. You shall not make mention of... [[ Visit www.BibleArena.org for full links, other content, and more! ]] #Joshua #OLDTESTAMENT #commandment #courage #devotion
