I've told a few friends about velosurance . I have 3 bikes (of the 4 I own) insured through them.  Highly recommended! The rates are cheap (and a discount for multiple bikes), the terms are good, and the customer service is outstanding. I thought about gett...

My first bike camping trip
Since I work retail, work has been insane these past few weeks.  I've meant to post the picture of the ride to the North Shore to Fountainebleau State Park from New Orleans back in November. The gang from NOLA Social Ride were having a camping trip, and R a...

A review of some Randi Jo Fabrications items.
If you're not familiar with Randi Jo Fabrications , (henceforth RJF) perhaps you should be.  I had bought a saddle cover from RJF to fit on a saddle and bike I no longer own.  It was well made and fit great.  Better, in fact, than the Brooks made rain cover...

I've rented a bike here twice now when I've visited Baltimore, and I this place is amazing. The last time I was in town I wanted to attend Baltimore Bike Party. I emailed Penny, and she said we could work something out. When I stopped by the shop, Penny had put the same bike aside I had rented the first time I was in town in November. The guys in the shop were very helpful. They fit my helmet for me and adjusted the seat and sent me on my way. They even recommended a few routes up to the start of Bike Party. The process was fast since I was already in their database. I was concerned about getting the bike back to the shop because Bike Party, is well, a party. Still, Penny went above and beyond and I was able to drop the bike after the party. If I lived in Baltimore, this would likely be my local bike shop. Light Street Cycles is what a local bike shop should be: friendly, knowledgeable, great bikes, a good selection of accessories, and some of the best customer service I've ever received.
