This is pretty great.
A special edition of the BC Weekly focused entirely on video game music. Game soundtracks have sold nearly a quarter million units on the site, pulling in just shy of $1.5 million dollars. Austin Wintory, Jim Guthrie, Disasterpeace, Danny Baranowsky, Big Giant Circles, and Laura Shigihara provide insight and tunes.

OK, so I just signed up for +Copy for a few reasons.

1) They have a rather nice console script for Linux.  I've always hated how hard Dropbox made it to run it from the CLI.
2) 15 GB, not that I was even using much of the 6 I had on Dropbox.
3) You share the data burden of the files you share, with the people you share it with.  So a 1GB ISO shared over like 20 testers would only count as ~500 MB.  I've always hated how Drive would double dip on the data used.

Mostly 1 and 3, 2 is just a nice bonus

Full disclosure, yes this is my referral link.  use it and we both get an extra 5GB
Copy is a cloud for people, friends, and companies. Use it to keep your computers in sync and your files available from anywhere and from any device. Sign up and get 15 GB FREE.

I used to think +SwiftKey was to blame when it came to trying to put punctuation after + links to people. Turns out it's the +Google+ app's fault.

So +Valve, I see you backported eglibc to get steam to run on wheezy for SteamOS.  I really hope that you push this work upstream so that everyone can run +Steam on +Debian wheezy without a lot of apt trickery.

Interesting choice.  Probably a valid one, as I can definitely imagine a world where most of Debian's users are not fans of GNOME's new direction.

Debian, the foundation upon which many Linux distributions, including Ubuntu, are based, is to switch to Xfce as its default desktop environment.

This is one for the coolest APoDs I've seen in a while.  Glad I read this far back this morning.

Stars and Lightning Over Greece
Image Credit & Copyright: Bill Metallinos

It may appear, at first, like the Galaxy is producing the lightning, but really it's the Earth. In the foreground of the above picturesque nighttime landscape is the Greek Island of Corfu, with town lights surrounding Lake Korrision. Visible farther in the distance are lights from the town of Preveza on the Greek mainland. In the more distant sky a thunderstorm is threatening, with two lightning strokes caught together during this 45 second wide-angle exposure taken in mid-May. The lightning branch on the left appears to be striking near Preveza, whereas the lightning strike on the right appears to be striking near Mount Ainos on the Greek Island of Cephalonia. Much farther in the distance, strewn about the sky, are hundreds of stars in the neighborhood of our Sun in the Milky Way Galaxy. Furthest away, arching over the entire panorama, are billions of stars that together compose the central band of our Milky Way.
