I have updated my Scrivener picture book template for Windows users:

http://claireobrienart.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/update-scrivener-picture-book-template.html
In my last blog post I shared with you my Scrivener Picture Book Template and I was pleasantly surprised to see that I had over 200 downloads!  I had some great feedback from the kidlit community, especially the Mac users amo...

Is anyone out there using Scrivener to write their picture books? If so you might want to try using my Picture Book Template:
Isn’t Scrivener just the best writing app in the world?  It is so versatile and reasonably priced.  Many different sorts of writers use it for lots of kinds of work.  Personally, I’ve got the start of a Young Adult (YA) novel...

This looks like it might be a neat and informative project that may interest some of you.

This isn't a pitch: I have nothing to do with it, get nothing from it, don't know these guys, and it's already fully funded. Just thought some of you might like to follow along as they write a novel in 30 days (doesn't everyone do that?)

These guys are fantastic. If you don't follow their podcast, you definitely should. Check 'em out at SelfPublishingPodcast.com.

I'm about 2/3 of the way through their book "Write, Publish, Repeat," written using Scrivener, of course! A must read.

It looks like my website is alcohol in Malaysia. I'm not even sure what that could mean, but it's funny.

I've relaxed a lot about rushing around after living in Bangkok for the last year, but forking India looks like it'd make me insane.

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful colonial guest house. We screwed up our reservation on Agoda, but the owner found a way to accommodate us anyway as we basically walked in unannounced. The room was adorable, and stayed very cool even while we were out and about. The included breakfast was pretty good, particularly the baguettes. We had a helpful tuktuk driver all 3 days we were there, who took us to all the places we wanted to see at a very reasonable rate. He was there for us each morning, and waited for us at each site no matter how much time we took.

Best Panang I've had yet in Thailand. Just happened upon the place while out walking. Menus in English/Thai, and our server spoke great English. Forgot our appetizer altogether and never saw him again after we ordered, but the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful.
