The view in Queenstown is unbeatable.
Let me know when you're next her, and I'll join you for the road trip.

Sweet peas, avocado, mint and crumbled crispy bacon... this creamy chilled pea soup just rocks!

I used to play go quite a bit. I even thought I was really good at it, till I met someone that was.

This is a big deal.

Drinking water on an empty stomach immediately after waking up is one natural way of healing our body and health.
Do you know that drinking water in the morning after you wake up is an old Japanese Therapy?

Incredible. Maybe one day we'll see this with our bare eyes, looking out of a spaceship window.

AE Aurigae and the Flaming Star Nebula

Is star AE Aurigae on fire? No. Even though AE Aurigae is named the flaming star, the surrounding nebula IC 405 is named the Flaming Star Nebula, and the region appears to have the color of fire, there is no fire. Fire, typically defined as the rapid molecular acquisition of oxygen, happens only when sufficient oxygen is present and is not important in such high-energy, low-oxygen environments such as stars. The material that appears as smoke is mostly interstellar hydrogen, but does contain smoke-like dark filaments of carbon-rich dust grains. The bright star AE Aurigae, visible toward the right near the nebula's center, is so hot it is blue, emitting light so energetic it knocks electrons away from surrounding gas. When a proton recaptures an electron, light is emitted, as seen in the surrounding emission nebula. Pictured above, the Flaming Star nebula lies about 1,500 light years distant, spans about 5 light years, and is visible with a small telescope toward the constellation of the Charioteer (Auriga).

Introduction
I grew up in the south-east of France, and then lived for a few years in London and then Paris. I'm glad to be back "home", and I'm loving the life here: gorgeous weather most of the time, lots of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, and not many people (compared to big cities).

Since I moving, I've changed my lifestyle: eating healthily and lots of exercise (at least three times a week in the local gym). I'm lucky enough to be home-office based, although I do travel for work a lot.

I enjoy cooking, and especially sharing the experience (see my #lunchin15mins tag). I also enjoy working in the sun, so you might spot me on my balcony one day as you drive by!

I've been to this Thai restaurant over a dozen times in the last year, despite it being a good 20 minutes drive from home, and each time I've always been pleasantly surprised. It is a family run business, and has been in the Port de St. Laurent for over 10 years. All of the dishes I've tasted are flavourful and fairly generous portions, however there is one dish that stands out among all, if not all Asian dishes on the Côte d'Azur: the Thai Duck Curry ("Canard laqué au curry Thaï"). That is truly an epic dish, especially when eaten with the rice glass noodles ("vermicelles de riz"), and will leave you scraping the bottom of the dish for the last dashes of sauce.

Great service, reasonable prices and some of the freshest and tastiest sashimi around.

They serve Illy coffee! On top of that, the decor is quaint, the food is fresh and healthy, and the service is very friendly. The café is on a side road just off the main road, so it's quiet and makes sitting outside on either terrace lovely and peaceful.
