Rock ’em sock ’em era is over in most leagues, so why is Canadian junior hockey – where the players are some of the least compensated and the most vulnerable – still holding on?
I say no. I'm fine with taking out of things below the chl, but these guys are in it to make the NHL. Playing hard and getting angry. Take the fighting out and I'd bet they'll be trying to take their anger out with big hits. Hits that could injure a lot worse than any hockey fight ever would. The optics of hockey fights are much worse than their reality.
