This Could Be Epic

h/t +John Dietrich

Ok I'll admit it...sometimes it takes a minute or two for stuff to sink into my brain. But it finally did after after reading +Eric Enge article in Forbes (which you can find in the link below).

What this will allow, that is unprecedented, is people interested in an ad using this feature can now engage directly with the creator of the ad. Mind Blown

If, that creator uses this to it's full potential think of the options to create an awesome experience for that interested party.

Yesterday I saw a post by +Ronnie Bincer that even ups the game further by incorporating an HOA into the ad. My brain can't even begin to fathom where that could lead. Bring Google Glass into the equation and the mind is blown even further. Seriously, take a step back and  think of the possibilities....

Instead of mindless spam this opens the opportunity for true innovation in the way businesses target and engage with their potential clients.

I want a piece of this...how about you?

cc: +Greg Trujillo +Carolyn Capern +Krithika Rangarajan +Heather Kraafter +Debi Davis  (we should talk) :)

What are +Plus Post Ads? Here's what +Eric Enge has to say:

+Post ads can act as an accelerator to a content marketing program.

2014 has been shaping up to bring a lot more businesses to Google+, and +Post Ads are another example of why they'll come to stay. For your business this means a lot of new people you can help and build relationships with along the way.

Those relationships are the engine that will drive your business goals this year!

Eric breaks this down for us with lots of great details here: http://www.forbes.com/sites/ericenge/2014/04/16/why-googles-post-ads-program-may-be-important-for-you/

+Heather Kraafter agree...so you, Debbie, and I (and anyone else who wants to join the party) should put our heads together and use what we discussed on the show yesterday about creativity and innovation...to develop a plan...b/c I've been thinking of the same thing...both for myself, my clients and as a way to get new clients in the future :)

Sorry to break it to you... but we are officially attention deficient.

What cut it a decade ago in marketing world just doesn't cut it anymore, unless of course your consumer is a goldfish.

According to a research, 14 years ago human's average attention span was 12 seconds, and in 2013 it fell down to 8 seconds, while a goldfish have an attention span of 9 seconds.

Which means, our brains make a decision in just 8 seconds whether to stay focused, or skip and relocate to a new topic.

So make your marketing strategy bitesized or be left behind.

Take a look at this infographic by eloqua delineating why your marketing content should be digestible in a lunch-break.

#Nature Awareness 4/12/2014 - Panther

The black panther is a melanistic color variant of the leopard, cougar, or jaguar. Wild black panthers in Latin America are actually black jaguars, in Asia and Africa they are a form of leopard, and in North America they may be black jaguars or possibly black cougars (although the cougar has not been proven to have a black variant... yet).

The panther is a very ancient and powerful totem. It embodies aggressiveness to a certain extent as well as personal power but without a solar influence. A panther's power is traditionally lunar. People with a panther totem have the ability to do a variety of tasks at the same time when the occasion calls for it, as efficiency is a source of great pride. They also tend to be loners, and are typically very comfortable with themselves. Many times in their lives they may even find that they are drawn to other solitary people. It is a living pattern that is quite comfortable for them and allows them to maintain relationships without too much unnatural effort. Panther people and those choosing to work with the black panther tend to be highly sensual as well. Passion, secrecy, and mystery are all a part of the elusive package. And, a predatory nature tends to gleam and beckon from the eyes of those who choose to follow the lead of the panther.

If you choose to work with this power animal, it is very important to own a sense of personal power. You must also learn to pace your work and not push too hard in life. The panther seeks for those in its keep learn these lessons thoroughly.

Symbolism: sensuality, passion, secrecy, reclaiming personal power, predatory nature, ancient wisdom, nocturnal energy cycles.

Wow...yummy!

"BLT" Baked Potato Skins (A slightly healthier version)

2 medium Russet potatoes
Extra virgin olive oil
Sea salt & freshly ground black pepper
4 strips of bacon, diced, fried, & drained on paper towels
1/2 tomato, seeded & chopped
1 slice of Colby Jack cheese, julienned
1/4 c. Greek Yogurt
Grape tomatoes (for garnish)
Baby spinach leaves (for garnish)

Bake or microwave potatoes until tender. Scoop out pulp, leaving about 1/4" in the shell. (Reserve "innards" for another use.) Brush shells inside & out with olive oil; sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Place shells "pulp side down" on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees F for 10 minutes or until browned. Turn right side up and sprinkle with half the cheese. Bake another 5 minutes.

Remove potato skins from oven and add cooked bacon (reserve some for garnish), along with chopped tomato. Lay remaining strips of cheese "decoratively" over the top and return to oven until melted. (In my opinion, they're not a proper potato skin unless some semblance of cheese is dripping invitingly over the top, health concerns notwithstanding.) Everything in moderation!

Garnish with a dollop of Greek yogurt, a grape tomato, a few baby spinach leaves, and the remaining cooked bacon. Dig in!

(Recipe may be doubled or tripled as needed.)

This appetizer was prepared in anticipation of enjoying the "social" aspect of social media: +Monogamous Temptress the Love Coach HOA Happy Hour. (Click the link below for further details.) Grab your beverage and head on over!

Custom Keirsey Temperament Report for: Jim F

Your Keirsey Temperament Sorter Results indicates that your personality type is that of the

Guardians are the cornerstone of society, for they are the temperament given to serving and preserving our most important social institutions. Guardians have natural talent in managing goods and services, from supervision to maintenance and supply, and they use all their skills to keep things running smoothly in their families, communities, schools, churches, hospitals, and businesses.

Guardians can have a lot of fun with their friends, but they are quite serious about their duties and responsibilities. Guardians take pride in being dependable and trustworthy; if there's a job to be done, they can be counted on to put their shoulder to the wheel. Guardians also believe in law and order, and sometimes worry that respect for authority, even a fundamental sense of right and wrong, is being lost. Perhaps this is why Guardians honor customs and traditions so strongly -- they are familiar patterns that help bring stability to our modern, fast-paced world.

Practical and down-to-earth, Guardians believe in following the rules and cooperating with others. They are not very comfortable winging it or blazing new trails; working steadily within the system is the Guardian way, for in the long run loyalty, discipline, and teamwork get the job done right. Guardians are meticulous about schedules and have a sharp eye for proper procedures. They are cautious about change, even though they know that change can be healthy for an institution. Better to go slowly, they say, and look before you leap.

Guardians make up as much as 40 to 45 percent of the population, and a good thing, because they usually end up doing all the indispensable but thankless jobs everyone else takes for granted.

Guardians at Work
As a Guardian, you enjoy working as a valued member of a team, whether you are leading it or following a credible leader. You like to work with people who carry their weight. You appreciate having clear-cut responsibilities and being recognized for your dedication and achievements. Your natural traits are those that employers have traditionally valued - and that successful companies still respect. You are responsible and loyal to an organization once you've signed on.

Establishing and following a familiar daily routine is critical to your well being. In your ideal job, you and your coworkers would all share information so that everyone could remain "on the same page” as projects move forward. Because you genuinely care about the people you work with, your colleagues and your customers appreciate your unassuming kindness.

I engage with awesome people on G+ every single day
