Growing up in a rural farm and ranch environment, life was a bit different for us kids. Attending school outside the rural lifestyle was nothing if not uncomfortable. Often times, it was close to humiliating. We wore Levi 501s before it was cool to wear…

Congress is pushing legislation right now that would 'Fast Track' the Trans-Pacific Partnership -- a secretive agreement negotiated behind closed doors by government bureaucrats and more than 600 corporate lobbyists. It threatens everything you care about: democracy, jobs, the environment, and the Internet.

Is it sick of me to want this release to have some bug that prevents files from being found?

There's a firmware update for my +Linksys (a.k.a +Belkin) router.  Too bad their website doesn't support encryption with identity information.  Yeah in 2015, after Snowden, these two brands can't pull it together and get with it.  +NETGEAR has an invalid cert for their site.  I guess if everyone agrees to do it wrong then no one has to compete?  #securityfail #nsafreebies

Some access to the Internet may be better than none, but Facebook's Internet.org is not the Internet at all.
Facebook's Internet.org project, which offers people from developing countries free mobile access to selected websites, has been pitched as a philanthropic initiative to connect two thirds of the world who don’t yet have Internet access. We completely agree that the global digital divide should be closed. However, we question whether this is the right way to do it.

Ah April 1st (and three days before and after) when there's absolutely no point in opening a web browser.
