Description: On this episode of Dark Voices, we kick off our series on Greater Magic. I spoke again with Gyps Fulvus regarding his experiences with Greater Magic. We discuss the specifics of ritual as well as philosophy behind ritual. Gyps shares tales of his successes and failures with Greater Magic, and we discuss the whys and wherefores of the psychodrama that is Greater Magic (including Gyps's use of masks). It was a pleasure speaking with Gyps again and this is certainly one episode not to be missed!

As mages we are known to stand at crossroads. That's where we perform our best work - at that liminal place where two worlds, two forces, two beings intersect. In this post we will be exploring such a crossroad: the one where magic and modern artificial intelligence research intersect.

I’ve been wanting this deck for a really, really long time. I’d seen images all over the internet, and it is beautiful, although it’s non-traditional enough that I had hesitated t…

An excellent essay. This addresses some of the same arguments I've heard time and again, especially when critics tell me that the two black belts I earned in traditional Taekwondo are somehow worthless. Would I lose in a sport fight against a somebody who grapples? Probably - I haven't trained extensively in grappling, so if the rules of the fight limit my avenues of attack to elbow, knee, and closed-hand blows to the head, torso, and upper legs, then I'm out of that running. But if there are no rules, and I'm allowed to use any combination of closed and open hands, elbows, knees, and feet to any location on the body including eyes, ears, throat, neck, joints, and groin, well - I'd say my chances just got better. Sport fighting depends on following the rules of the fight, but if my life is in danger I'm going to use anything my instructor taught me - rules be damned.

Finally, after the seemingly endless blaze of the Sun, we get the cool relief of darkness, illuminated by a scanty sliver of silver moonlight….. The Moon encourages introspection. It is time for you to go within. The sun is loved by morons everywhere because its big, bright and fucking yellow.

This is written partly from a Thelemic perspective which is of course not Satanic, but as much as Satanism values self-discipline, I thought it was worth re/sharing.
Aleister Crowley said that 90% of Thelema is self-discipline, and that applies to magical practice. A few things to think about to help you stick with it.

I'm pleasantly surprised. I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw the headline, but this deck seems like it's really useful for a rather large segment of clients. So many people ask questions related to both work and money, and having a deck specifically written with the language of corporate work culture is brilliant. It's not the sexiest deck you've ever seen, but it looks like it does what it's designed to do with razor sharp precision.
The Corporate Tarot by Melanie McCarthy is an incredible tool for employee training that re-polishes the tarot structure so that it might lend itself to the corporate world. Team building, corporat…
